For a lucky few of you, Satch & Co. are coming to Europe. Wish they'd do a west coast gig.



Alas, there's no UK shows as yet

Satriani has recruited Steve Vai and Steve Morse for a short run of dates in Europe this summer.


The trio of guitar icons will play shows in Germany, Hungary and Russia later this year. It's the first set of European dates for a G3 tour since 2004.

Here's the dates:

July 
21 - Offenbach, Germany 
23 - München, Germany
24 - Hamburg, Germany 

August 
1 - Budapest, Hungary
5 - Moscow, Russia

Why don't we eliminate all the warning labels and let things sort themselves out?

I only just found out yesterday that they are touring Oz next week!!!  They've got Lukather in place of Morse for the 'down under' shows.

If I had known earlier, I might have tried to book a flight to catch them... alas!!

I really wish Morse was on the tour oh well!!! Luke is another living legend!!

Saw Steve Morse back in the early to mid 90s when he was playing with Deep Purple. They played in a hall style building at the York Fairgrounds, 5$ a ticket. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, he's insanely good. Stood very close, not a huge crowd. And of course it was THE loudest concert I think I ever attended.

Yeah, I saw Morse on the DP tour here in Oz two years ago.

Phenomenal player!!  But what struck me the most was the fact he sported a big genuine grin right from the first note to the last.  The guy obviously just LOVES playing guitar and has FUN playing in Deep Purple.
