Re: The Voice
Cat,
Again, another excellent video and performance by both singers. I'm right with you regarding Geoff - he was the better vocalist. I think Sera got the nod solely on her looks and marketability.

same here kenny, didnt think there would be another explanation
And me (big PR fan).........no idea what this other stuff is all about!!
We had the fun last year when the show had it's start in The Netherlands. The idea from this show is from Roel van Velzen, a Dutch singer songwriter. Before he had his breakthrough he played in The Crazy Piano's where I saw him first. The show was a great succes from the beginning, because the concept is different from the other talent scouts.
Here's your winner, Ben Saunders

Thank you for a wonderful show and Thank Roel van Velzen for the great show from me. I love his concept, it makes for an exciting show and some great music.
Love the concept of not seeing the person and just hearing "The Voice"
If you remember Susan Boyle from "Britian's Got Talent", they took a look at her and thought she couldn't sing. Love her too
The show was on here last year also. I am having great fun with this. I like the chemistry between the panel of judges. They each have something different to offer. And I am discovering new singers. Woo Hoo!

Hopefully if they get the show in Canada, Paul can be a Judge up there.
Because he is "The Voice"

Thanks for the link, River Cat ... very interesting
Still watching and loving it. I have missed American Idol because of this. This season seems more tense than last season, I guess because it was new and the judges didn't know what to expect.
Now the judges seem more competitive, especially Christina. I love Cee-lo, he is so funny.
I will say for next season if I was a male, I would think twice before choosing Christina's team. I see a tendency for her to favor her female vocalists out of all the judges.
Here is one that she let go early and seeing what they have left, I don't know how he got away. I gotta say, I am all aboard the Geoff McBride Gravytrain. I have been waiting for someone like him and if I could I would sign him. I would love to put out an album with him with some solo work and some duets. One of the first duets would be him and Stevie Wonder doing this song. I can so here those 2 in my mind. I like with the comment that all 4 judges should have turned around.
Geoff could also do some awesome background vocals.

And here is I am hoping the one that takes home the prize- Jesse Campbell. It's a wonderful world just to hear him sing. Go Jesse Go!
What a Wonderful World

Another great performance! Jamar Rogers found the right song for him and sunk his teeth into it.
Good to see this young man still in the competition. It must be so fun to be on Cee-lo's team, He's Craaaaay-zy with his productions. He's standing there like a proud papa watching Jamar.

Watching "The Voice" and I can say Jesse you made the wrong choice in picking Christina for your coach. I am a girl and can see how she is more for women then she is for men. If Jessie loses, it will only be for the stupid song choices she is picking for him Even with that his vocal talent he is still bringing it. She kicked off 2 great guys so far off her team that are better then what is with most contestants still left. Geoff and Anthony. She even made a rude comment to her buddy from the Mickey Mouse club team Tony Lucca accusing him of something he didn't do. The guys on her team need to sing "Maneater"
She had Jesse this week sing "Halo" by Beyonce. First it's a weak song. I am surprised there are any other words in that song then "Halo". I would have rather him sing Halo/Goodbye by the Beatles then that stupid song. Even though he got strong praise from the judges, it was his weakest performance when the idea of the game is to be the best you can be with less competition.
All guys, stay off of Christina's team. Cee-lo and Adam will do you right. They treat men and women the same. Blake gave his girl a great country song this week that showed her strengths.
I am sorry he picked her because the person who really wanted him was Cee-lo. Good thing I am not that Cat in Cee-lo's lap on the show. If I was on Christina's lap, I would have bit her for that song choice. http://kessels.nl/catsounds/angry1.wav
Rooting for anybody's team other than Christina's from this point on.
They left the decision up to her over the audience and she voted off my man Jesse. People on "The Voice" forum were shocked so I know they wouldn't have voted him off. No, she keeps on her team, her favorite Lindsey Pavao with all her pitch problems. And Chris the guy who is supposed to be an Opera singer but isn't even that good in his own genre. Pretty bland singer there.
This should be a lesson to any good men contestants that go on that show for the future.
Christina just did all the coaches a favor by voting off the top contender on her team. Last year her team was all women.
Jesse needed the break and all 4 judges turned around for him. She lied to him and said she fight for him. If he had been on any of the other judges team, he wouldn't have been eliminated.
She's my Simon of "the Voice". Anyone I like from now on, I hope they go to any team but hers.
Even if it is a woman.
I enjoy the format of The Voice, and the competition between coaches, etc but I think the talent level on AI this year is higher overall. I was sorry to see Jesse leave though.

Thanks for the recommendation. I will go and check AI out. Who are the favorites or who do you like on there?
I haven't been watching it this year but will tune in. Thanks Stu for the reminder

Of the remaining 6 or 7, I think Joshua is probably the most dymanic performer, but not sure he can pull the votes needed to win it all. They're all so good in their own way that at this point it all comes down to song selection.

I liked Joshua and looking forward to what music he puts out. Sorry he didn't make it to the finale.
I am not sure who the audience will pick and will watch the finale to find out. Thanks Stu
Back to "The Voice"
Here's is my chosen winner of "The Voice"- JESSE CAMPBELL.
This is the song I would have had him sing for the Finale. I was going to put other clips of him showing his versatility and just downright vocal prowess. He definitely is not just the voice, but a song interpreter. This is the one to go out with.

Tony got shafted by Christina. I don't get it and felt sorry her guy got caught up in her politics. Disappointing.
Of all these Reality shows that are on TV at the moment, i believe The Voice stands head and shoulders above 'em all.
Real entertaining format and some real stunning voices too, unlike the tacky X Factor UK/US & Britains/US got talent shows
This is real fun and whole heartedly agree that Jesse Campbell is truly amazing and really should win The US Version
What a Voice that man has got, loved his version of "Halo"
Now we have The Voice here in The UK and been going a few weeks and there is one truly standout voice that is unlike anything i've ever heard on one of these shows, it's like a Susan Boyle, Charice Pempengco or Jackie Evancho moment
.... But here along comes this young 18 year old (you wont believe) from London , watch out Adele, who brings with her an emotional story of her father passing away just before the show and sings to him through song
just listen to the craziest note at 3:23 - 3:27

I watched last season which was the first season. The only person Christina seem to take aim at was Adam Levine. This season she showed she was the Diva, and has put off a number of fans on "The Voice", with her attitude, comments, and how she handles her team.
I am not sure if this is for ratings, but she is the only thing that has made me not want to watch the show. Tony was on Adam's team, and she did make me feel sorry for him too. They were on the Mickey Mouse club together and for some reason she seemed to hold that against him.
You are right, I was disappointed too.
On the other hand, Cee-lo, Adam and Blake stick more to just seeing their team progress.
Curby is a fan of Tony and has put up some clips of his work.
