I thought I would start a topic for videos of young bands covering Joe. I found this one today.

Re: Young bands covering Joe

Check out N.east band, The Mentulls - young Andrew Pipe has Joe's take on Just Got Paid, among others, absolutely nailed. Not bad going for a lad 15/16 years old.

Its a great tribute to Joe that after all the hard work he put in as a youngster and the acclaim he's now gathering that the next generation is looking to him for inspiration.

Re: Young bands covering Joe

Check this one. The band is called Federal Charm and their first CD comes out in July. This is a blues standard, but their version is clearly influenced by Joe's great recording of the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9C_bXcEDZg

I thought I'd add Stefan's acoustic cover of Driving Towards the Daylight wink

Re: Young bands covering Joe

I've heard a few atrocious examples of local bands trying to copy Joe's copies and songs. Glad I don't have video to share with you all! And Great Job as always Stefan! Good idea to add that Cathy. -S
