Topic: Hi from Scotland

Hi folks, have made a few posts already, mostly on Beth Hart topics so far as i think she is amazing. Seen her twice in the UK and pretty much addicted.

Been a Joe fan since i borrowed a copy of Rockpalast from my Uncle about 2 years ago and have been building the collection since.  Got tickets for the Edinburgh gig in a couple of weeks and can't wait although i can't help but feel i've missed the boat a wee bit, missing out on some of the more intimate gigs by a year or so.

Discovering Joe (and this forum) has pretty much led me to blues music and the up and coming British blues scene (Virgil, Jo shaw Taylor, Aynsley Lister, Oli Brown, Marcus Bonfanti etc) and a lot more for which i am grateful.

Favourite album at this moment is 'So It's Like that'.  The neighbours must hate me..got to be played loud!

Re: Hi from Scotland

Hi to Scotland. It's never too late to appreciate Joe's music and the concert will blow you away.

Come on the Blades (sorry Idolbone just had to borrow your line)

Re: Hi from Scotland

If you was your neighbour, i would ask to replay it a bit louder big_smile

Re: Hi from Scotland

Welcome to the forum, and thanks for the heads up on the up & coming blues musicians - I will give some of these a try!

Re: Hi from Scotland

Welcome to the Forum.

If the Usher Hall gig is your first experience of Joe live, then, as George Harrison once famously said of Led Zeppelin, '...you can kiss your skull goodbye.' I first saw him in The Ferry in Glasgow where the sound of jaws hitting the floor was deafening.

'Try as you might to keep a lid on a good time, you can't do it. When people want to have a good time....' - Billy Gibbons

Re: Hi from Scotland

Welcome GGM1903, good to see another Aberdeenshire loon on the forum!
I was a bit late getting into Joe too, summer 2009 was when I first heard him. I've seen him 3 times live now and he's incredible.
I'm into Virgil, JST, Oli Brown etc too, maybe we'll bump into each other at some gigs.

Re: Hi from Scotland

That's 3 of us from the north east of Scotland and all Dons fans for our sins!!!
