Topic: Les Paul's '58

A three part video showing an expert's research and ID of one of the original presentation LP's given to Les by Gibson. It was found by a collector on Ebay. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_X0JeY7 … re=channel

Haha. It turns out I have a vintage period correct mic jack like they mentioned in vid 2. Found it in a junk bin of old salvage parts. I'll donate it to the restoration. First time I ever saw one on a Les Paul.

Re: Les Paul's '58

To close this out, my donated period-correct used mic jack is on the way to help bring Les Paul's historic guitar up to a near original (though highly modified by Les) state. If you didn't go all the way through the three vids be sure to check out the amazing story of the non-datematching '52 hard case in the 3rd. It makes the story even cooler.

WOW!  What a cool story.  Sure do miss Les Paul, even at 94 he was smart as he ever was.  Cool Post.
