Topic: Greg Koch. Willy Porter, Peter Mulvey... July 15th, Milwaukee

I know that a lot of Joe B fans are also big fans of some of these awesome Milwaukee guitar players. There is a  concert on July 15th at Cream City Music in Brookfield, which is a benefit for Milwaukee bass player Jim Kishline, who was recently injured in a serious accident. For $20, you can support the Kishline family and enjoy a whole day of awesome music. The band lineup so far is:

Hey Sarah:

I would like to give a shout out for Willy Porter.

A great storyteller, and an amazing guitar player. His vocals are smooth as honey. He is like Joe, in that he really shines in front of an audience, and interacts with them the entire evening.

Check out his website www.willyporter.com for some samples. Take a listen to "Loose Gravel" for a sample from his current CD, Available Light. I also recommend "Falling Forward" as a great background to mellow out at the end of the day with the one you love.

I'll have to agree, Willy is one of my favorites too. He seems to be really popular out there in the Northwest -- we are lucky to have him here in town.
