Topic: Concerts/live shows this year?

Some of us just got to see Joe, others looking forward to it soon, who else are you guys going to see this year?

At the end of the month for our 12 year anniversary, the husband and I are going to Jazz Alley in Seattle to see Hiromi (jazz pianist).

In May we've got Van Halen in Tacoma, and I just surprised the husband with Iron Maiden tickets.
I'm also waiting patiently for Robin Trower to come back to town.

Only 3 shows planned so far, but it's sure to grow somewhat.

Tommy Castro on April 1st
Joe in Indianapolis on May 5th (5.5 hours from home)
Rammstein the very next day (5.5 hours back!)
Joe in Toledo in November

Joe three times in May - Indianapolis, Evansville and Springfield.

Have tickets to Chickenfoot (saw them last fall on their mini-tour)

Will definitely be hitting some more shows in/around Chicago and Indy...

Philip Sayce if I can make the drive tomorrow. Rod Piazza next Friday. (won 2 tix!) JoeB in May. Simulcast HD PPVs of MetOpera on a regular basis, Broadway type shows, plays, symphony, and lots more later this year. We like a wide variety of live entertainment.

I've seen The Answer and Wishbone Ash in Hamburg and I will see Udo Lindenburg at the O2 in Hamburg tomorrow and then that is it for the year.

It is a shame because there are a number of good bands coming to Germany this year. It is financial on the one hand, but on the other I'm making a bit of a personal stand against investing money in tickets only to be really disappointed with the sound/volume.

W-Ash are my favourite band probably but even they, for the first time ever in my long experience, were too damn loud. They have played the Fabrik in HH every year for the last 10 years straight or so and I find it unbelievable that their sound guys can get it so wrong. The Answer were just a joke - soundwise. One of the best vocalists around and his voice was constantly overwhelmed by the all too dominant guitar led band sound.

In these financially strapped times I'm just not prepared to waste the money anymore. I just don't think the FOH sound guys get it anymore - or they are all bloody deaf anyway!

i'm going to see TRIGGERFINGER in april !! I think it will be their last small club tour here in germany, because they are now the support act of a well known german band.... so they won't be a secret tipp anymore ^^

and the second concert will be peter maffay at "kalkberg" a very special location with a special atmosphere !!!

well and maybe some small concerts from local bands and friends

So far I've only seen 2 this year. I saw Johnny Winter on Feb. 1, and Lady Antebellum/Darius Rucker on Feb. 18. Both were great shows. Bonamassa is coming back to Dallas on Oct. 30, and I'd love to see him again!!

Just two so far for me-joe at Blackpool on the 5th,and,tho it's a long ways off,Wishbone Ash at Kendal in October. Tho' i AM taking jr idolbone and a couple of friends up to Edinburgh this saturday-17th- to see Enter Shikari........we might have a spare ticket so MIGHT  have to go in if we don't sell it on the night!
