Topic: Sloe Gin Sample from Sala/Rockland Bluesfest

Hi everyone!
I spent last night at Sala Blues fest in Sweden (check out www.rockland.nu ) and Joe was headlining the show. I saw him last time during Easter when he was visiting Gothenburg and was thrilled to see the new line up with new base player and the extension of the band with a key board player. I was truly stunned by the performance and the sound of the new lineup. Richer, tighter and they all appeared as a bunch of guys enjoying themselves on stage.

The set was sightly changed from the show 3 months ago and I particulaly enjoyed Mountan Time and was pleased to see Joe bring on he old trusted Strat to perform Django from the You and Me Album - I thought that song was impossible to perform live but Joe made it even more beatiuful than on the album. Impressive!! As was the revamped version of High Water Everywhere

On top of this I was also reallly happy to hear the band perform the title track from the new album released a month from now: Sloe Gin. It´s a teaser really, but I´m sure it makes us al want to rush for the CD stores in August.

So: Thanks Joe and band to once more come to Sweden making another fantastic show for 400 of your fans here. I hope for you to come visit Stockholm in a near future to bring on a really big crowd to please next time (OK Playing Norrtalje  Blues Fest in August is admittedly a 2nd best  :o)

Hey Chriz, thanks for updating us on the start of the European tour.  Sounds like a great show.  The You Tube clip was indeed a teaser, nice to see a video clip again of it though.  Something I didn't realize is that Rick sings backup vocals.
