Topic: Epihone & Gibson goldtop vs 59 Les Paul

Hey guys,

Just wondering how the Epiphone and Gibson Goldtop models (and newer JB models) compare to an original 59 Les Paul?  From what I have read Joe's signature model is based on a 59.  How close are the signature models to the original?  I've never played an Epiphone or Gibson model that would be a reissue, so I don't know. 

I've had my Epi JB model for about 2 weeks now.  I CAN'T PUT IT DOWN!!  I have played Gibsons and other high end Epiphones.  The JB model beats all the ones that I have played!! 

Just wondering on the specs.

I had a JB epiphone and to me the neck is much fatter then the 59' reissue.  That being said I've heard people say its fatter then the JBLP goldtop, and its supposed to be a 59' neck.  Maybe a 58' neck those are fatter I believe then the 59'
