I have no ill will towards Gibson either - price what the market will bear - and if they price too high then they'll lose out to competition.
As for me, I'm thankful they sell such high priced guitars because that helps them generate profit to cover the lower priced models.
I mean, seriously, everybody buying $500 Epis (which Gibson might make $50 profit on) should shake the hand of people buying $10,000 signature editions, which puts a few thousand dollars on Gibson's bottom line and keeps their lights on.
And, again, if Gibson really does "charge too much" then those guitars won't sell - a self correcting situation!
