Re: great blues/rock guitarist Carl Verheyen

No doubt an accomplished player with a healthy resume and a nice guy as well.

However, he looked wholly out of place when asked to play on stage with Joe last summer at the Malibu Inn. It seemed he couldn't find the notes he needed to go toe to toe with JB and jam. Maybe it was a style issue. Maybe it was just Joe. Dunno.

Re: great blues/rock guitarist Carl Verheyen

Yeah, Carl Verheyen is another of my favorite players. He's definately got a different type of style, than most players. His CDs are really cool, too.

The "Rumor Mill" package is just phenominal! It's a 2 Disc set. A DVD DualDisc with an acoustic and an electric set. It also has video demos of all of his guitars and amps. A DVD 5.1 surround mix, etc. The other DualDisc has a CD, plus more. A great way to check out CV.

I am also very happy with the newest package, called "Take One Step". It's got 3 song charts, ring tones, and MP3 versions of all the songs. Another included DVD demo disc, etc. Not to mention, his great tunes. He sings great, plays incredibly, and get some of the best tones this side of Eric Johnson.

I actually heard that Carl was Eric Johnson's teacher for a while, no idea how true it is, but interesting.
