Email from the JB camp with the subject line, "Exclusive Video Single Debut of Midnight Blues, Watch Now." When you click to watch, that's the message you get.

Kudos to the promotion department for thinking outside the box, but I can't shake the feeling of being manipulated. On a different day I would probably feel differently, just me being cranky I guess. I dunno.

Nope not alone...Marketing at its worst IMO.  If they do that often enough, it will sour in fans' mouth and backfire.  I'm all for aggressive marketing.  I think some very talented people could benefit from more of it.

Somewhere though, having some class is very important.  Joe knows that.  He has stuck to his guns all along and I love that.  But to be fair I am NOT impressed with the whole JBXP juggernaut either...cause... they're young yeah that's it.

Yes, it's very annoying. It's especially annoying when you have to share it every time you want to watch it - as I've had to do - or when you switch to a different computer.

As I read this I noticed an email come into my laptop, yes you've guessed it this one, yes it does annoy and no I'm not going to forward it to annoy someone else. Marketing is one thing but the people on here are already fans and buy all the releases anyway. This puts me off stone cold. As annoying as those emails that threaten doom if you don't forward them to god knows how many people. They need to remember we are a grown up audience..

Got the same e-mail.  I do not intend to do the "share" thing...in fact I already deleted the e-mail.  I have the DVR set for tomorrow night when the concert will be broadcast on PBS, plus I saw the performance from the second row in December so it's still fresh in my mind and I have the DVD on pre-order  I get the whole "share" thing to help promote the cause, but those of us on FB, already "share" video's regularly without being prompted.

I have to agree with everybody on this. I gladly share Joe on FB, but I don't pass on e-mails like this. What really gets my goat, as they say, is the lack of action on other issues. I requested a mass e-mail to remind people of the Blues Awards voting deadline. I got a reply that they were "working on it". Well, that never happened. Very frustrating. Who sets priorities?   Cathy

Annoying as it is I think everyone's making it sound worse than it really is - it's great of Joe's guys to release the video and it's WELL worth the share believe me...besides...you can always just delete the share afterwards like me?
