I'm ashamed to say I never really listened to the 'new' GN'R..I'm a HUGE fan of the old line up so might have to go to one of these and see if I like them!

Re: Guns 'N' Roses for the UK

In terms of popularity; Slash or G'n'R?

Slash hands down for me. Axel can be very problematic, I doubt this tour will go smoothly.

Slash

GNR without Slash,is like Zep without Page.Should really be a different band. But can't blame them for holding on to the brand name.Money.

Re: Guns 'N' Roses for the UK

Last night when we were watching BCC on Palladia, we were talking about comfort music, rock n' roll!! (like that expression comfort food)  Its hard to find good rock n'roll these days.  But last night when we were watching BCC...we realize how much we miss a good rock n' roll performance...we still crave it!!  lol

Anyway, my husband has frequently mentioned his reaction when he first heard WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE...made a lifetime lasting impression!!  Such a GREAT song!!

Worth seeing just for the musicianship...those are all world class players. I enjoyed them.
I have also seen Slash separately with Myles Kennedy.

All good.

SLASH.....By far for me.

It should NEVER take 17yrs (or whatever it took) to make an album and I refuse to buy Chinese Whatever...Axl comes across as a moron to me.

Slash 100%. What has Axl done in the past 20 years or so? Released an album that had barely any impact whatsoever. Slash however has been a part of 3 different bands - all rather successful especially velvet revolver and his new solo band.

Furthermore, Axl is the reason GN'R broke up...probably one of the best bands in history and the fame and riches went to his head and he wanted full control and rights to the band. Slash is also a great guy and despite perhaps stereotypical views of rock n' roll icons- a very smart man indeed

Can't wait for the new album...here's  a song he just released http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4H_jgrrd0rc
