Well.....I'm going to put this in the best words I can possibly fathom.....I'm absolutely crushed by this news, I really had a very difficult time even talking to you my brother....we had some very long and personal conversation just a few months ago about life and what it all means....Derek Duane, named after two of the greatest guitar players of alltime, your son certainly carried himself with a presence of a man who seemed so sure of himself, you did him good....whenever you feel the time to talk again, I'll wait patiently for your call, if you just need to chill from it all for awhile understood.....Debbie and I have the door open if you want to head north in April to see Joe, your room is waiting as do our hearts and ears....I know you can hear the prayers from all your family here Rocket, please send them on to Dereks mother as well

Dear Rocket....it breaks my heart to hear this sad news. I cannot imagine what you and Derek's mother must be suffering. I hope you can take some comfort and strength from everyone who knows and loves you.

Geoff and I send our heartfelt condolences to you too Rocket.  We know only too well that life is so very cruel and has no respect for age at all.  Please keep smiling for Derek that would be what he wanted and please know that we are thinking of you. Such sad news, the saddest a parent can get.....Don't know what to say....I feel pain and tears comming up.
Take care my friend and I hope time heals the wounds a bit , life is sometimes so beautiful and sometimes so @#$%^# cruel.
The biggest hugs there for you and all involved.
Now I play  Thin Lizzy's song -Still In Love With You- for Derek and you.
It's my requem for all those lovely people who had to leave us.........
