Re: Where's Big Jeff Jones?
that is very very cool Big Jeff, even if you do have to play some Eaglets. take it easy on the back flips, we go one gig at a time. very happy for you.

Thrilled for you Funky D, truly! I know what this means to you, like the guys said, go out and knock 'em dead. Never mind the witch, of course you can handle this.
Much love!
That's big happy news Funky D ... you playing with all my Southern favorites. Have fun and of course share with us!
Whew this shows great potential. Hopefully I arrived just in time to save them from overdosing on "depression rock."
Anybody got a Prozac?
Sounds great, Jeff. Coolest Eagles song...Victim of Love!
Playing rock, Ken. gasp What's gonna happen next?
Spoke to the band leader last night and he was in full agreement that the "Cafe Rock" they were playing as a duo will not work for a band gigging during Bike Week. So we are rebuilding the song list...
Was decided that if the lead guitarist sang 20% and the funky doc sang 20%, the lead man could cover most of the lead vocals but still get a break AND give the crowd some variety.
Such a pleasure to collaborate with musicians. A very pleasant surprise, indeed. We listen to one another.

Hey THANKS. Not a blues band, but I'm having a ball. Reuben, who asked me to do this, just laughed at me on the phone when he called the next day.
They sure are white, said I. You're the elder statesman big guy, he told me. Inject some soul!
Hi five accepted and returned.

Calling Funky D......what's happenin' wid you, bro?
OK It's Oh dark Thirty here. I am involved in this massive change=up in my doctors. There's a "new" program in the states called VIP med care. Pay one primary care guy some extra $ over & above the normal charges and he takes extra care. He only takes 300 patients...a radical change from my docs who all have 2300 charges apiece; the finest in factory medicine.
Musically? Lead singer/band leader is recovering from the throat/sinus plague, so we're on break. Before I get in too deep, I have to have a long conversation with my man. We come from 2 different planets musically. Not just different musical tastes, but some fundamental differences in experience levels. I don't know if he'll listen...
There is a subset of singer/guitarists in the world that are solo or duo performers and their basic working sound setup is completely different from a "band" sound. their PA is actually a powered set of speakers & a junction box for mics & guitars. They run everything through the PA, directly.
Wow that works real good! Let's add bass & drums and get a real band going. As soon as they try to continue with the same MO, the amateur pile of crap collapses under the weight and they're PO-ed. Well think about it...if you add every color to to mixing palette it comes up brown mud.
I'm hoping that all works out for the best.

I hope the music issue with 'your man' can be worked out, but much more important is to get the whole medication thing sorted out properly so that you're on the best, most sensible, pain medication.
Because, Dr. Jones, it is for the general benefit of the population at large (especially in this here forum) to have you at optimum fitness and mental alacrity, so that we all may further enjoy your unique talent for cutting through bs and telling it like it is.
Much love!
Thanks G. It's not the pain, it's the blood pressure. I'll fill you in later in private.
me go night night.
