Topic: Epiphone JB

This is the BEST guitar I've ever owned!  I've played a few Gibsons, and frankly can not see paying the price for them.  For one, I can't afford it.  And 2 this sounds better and feels better than the Gibsons I've tried.  Now, I know, there may be Gibson's that are expensive that are great. But, for a guitar in a price range I can afford.  This one is AMAZING!!

The feel of the neck, the pickups, the way that the tone and volume knobs easily affect the sound.  Awesome!

This has become my #1 guitar of choice now!

Thank you to Joe for allowing Epiphone to make a cheaper version of your guitar without taking away from what makes it your guitar.  It's nice to know that the pickups are the same, the pots are the same.  To know that I am playing very close to what Joe plays makes me that much more eager to pick up the guitar.  The sound is so great in this guitar as well.  If you are thinking about an Epi JB Les Paul and are skeptical, DON'T BE!!  This guitar is worth every penny!  And will be comparable to ANY other guitar you will play.

Thank you again to Joe & Epiphone!

Re: Epiphone JB

Definitely +1 for that. I love mine and will always keep it, no matter what.

Come on the Blades (sorry Idolbone just had to borrow your line)

Re: Epiphone JB

Oh man!  There is NO WAY I will ever get rid of mine. I traded and sold some stuff to get it and I don't regret it AT ALL!

Re: Epiphone JB

Ive had mine just over a month now and agree with all above comments. My Epi JB is my #1 of my collection.

Honestly tho, Im realy very late to the Joe Bonamassa party. I bought my JB soley on the guitars appointments. Im  always avoiding signature anything. Normally when you see a "insert rawk gawd here" signature guitar, it has a big price tag to go with it. But not the case with the Epi JBLP. Its a little higher than some of the better Epi LP's, but certainly less expensive than some of the other signature ones they have produced in the past.

I mean whats not to love. An amazing solid guitar. Long tenion 59 neck. Gibson HB's instead of the lower end MIC that comes in most others. And its a devistating gold top. And on top of that it came with a realy nice case. Just looking at it from a dollars and sence point of veiw and its alot of guitar for the money.

But beyond just that...it has opened my eyes and ears to the music of Joe B. Ive played guitar since 1977 and like most others I stick to what I know and grew up with. Ive heard of Joe prior to my purchase, but hadnt ever heard the man play...ever. Untill now that is. Yikes have I been missing out. But Im catching up.

Re: Epiphone JB

I also bought the JB Model because of the specs too.  Granted, being a JB signature model had something to do with that as well.  But, I love the neck and the Gibson Burstbucker pickups!  I've been a Bonamassa fan for about 5-6 years now.  I always wanted one of his guitars because of what they were, not because he played it.  But they were always so expensive. When the Epi came out i was like "YES!!! I can get one now!"

It is amazing!  Thanks again to Joe and Epiphone.
