Who is in his band nowadays? Is it a rock band? Haven't seen him since Gamma in 1982.

Bringing back the 70's? Or whatever he done later?I would love to see Sammy with him doing thee first Montrose album!
Not going to happen. A couple of weeks into the last attempt by Sammy to do just that he was reminded why he left Montrose in the first place. I guess Ronnie is not the easiest guy to get along with. I heard in an interview he's never going to try that again.

That's too bad, I witnessed their reunion about 4 maybe 5 years ago. We saw Sammy & the Waborita band and the encore was a 5 song set by the original Montrose line up. Can't recall the entire set, but they did play Rock The Nation, Rock Candy, & Bad Motor Scooter. I'll dig into the Montrose catalog to jog the memory banks. The gig was @ the Concord Pavillion here in the Bay Area and the crowd went nuts to see the band all together again. Got it, the other 2 songs were Connection and Spaceage Sacrifice. Best 5 tune set I've seen in years.

You could be right Randu, they may have played that rather than Spaceage Sacrifice. Do you remember what year it was?

No I don't but your guess of 4 to 5 yeasrs ago seems right. I went on a search for my ticket stub to no avail.
I do remember running late and thinking that Montrose was opening the show. Had no idea they were the encore. Didn't matter anyways, we made it on time.
Hey Randu, look what I Googled up!

WOW, longer ago than I would (did) guess. Love the meaningless banter at the beginning.
One thing 1 LOVE about youtube is where it takes you......the UFO videos on that page are awesome.
I was suppose to go to a private party up in the foothills last year, Ronny did a party for a Tesla buddy....neighbor totally dissed me, must have thought I forgot bout...nope....oh well
Shreddy
Sadly the 2012 tour is now a moot point. Definitely gonna get a copy of the recent DVD recording if it still gets released.
RIP Ronnie,
J Dawg
Folks,
Never put off tomorrow what you can do today. Especially when it comes to buying tickets to a show you WANT to see but aren't sure if you can afford it. There may never be another chance.
RIP Ronnie.
