Topic: Peter Frampton reunited with his long-lost Les Paul
This is the story of one of the most luckiest guitars in history.
Peter Frampton owned a 1954 Gibson Les Paul Custom that was unique in having 3 pickups with cream rings and no pickguard. The guitar was used on the Humble Pie albums and on his solo album 'Frampton Comes Alive'. One day in 1980, the guitar was being carried in a cargo plane that crashed on its way to Panama, and it was thought that all the contents of the plane were destroyed.
But recently, the guitar was discovered on a Carribean Island and was returned to Frampton after nearly 30 years.
This is a video of its restoration.
