OMFG!!! Maroon 5 and something for the People, or whatever just slaughtered Surfer Girl and another Beach Boys classic. Thank God the real deal followed these hacks with the real deal version of Good Vibrations. Brian Wilson still makes these pups look like wannabes. Beach Boys harmonies are still in a class of there own. Wow, Sir Paul droppin' a torch song on everyone with Joe Walsh on classical guitar and Mrs. McManus on piano, damn that cute Beatle is startin' to look his age.

Adele's voice isn't quite 100% yet from what I just heard, hope she recovers fully. She's an awesome talent, without any gimmicks.

Thank for the updates Dawg. The Sandman visits early these days for Curby.
My fellow Brit & London girl, did good last night!
YOU GO GIRL!!!
Elvis! Jackie Wilson! Pay attention! Bruno Mars opened it all up on stage at the Grumblies and started it off right. Liked Rihana, not Coldplay. Liked the song the country duo sang, didn't like Chris Brown.
Loved LLCoolJ...
Alicia & Bonnie? Way too short. I could hear my #2 son weeping & gnashing his teeth 50 miles away. (He LOVES Alicia Keys...smart man) Adele? yeah OK...good for her. Katy Perry? Are you kidding me? OMG. Foos? meh.
AND Stevie My Man the Wonder said it all. Yes we love you Whitney. I don't bow my head for many. That one got to me. Such a waste...coulda called...needed a friend...tell the truth...but softly and only with Much,
MuchLove

I knew you'd dig Bruno Doc. The kid has the moves, the look, and a killer R&B tune with a little taste of funk. If the Godfather of soul had a Godchild his name is Bruno Mars. He gets my vote as the best overall act of the night.

Actually Springsteen opened the show, but Bruno made the Boss' tired act a distant afterthought right away.

Bravo to Adele! Well earned. I enjoyed the show. When I didn't want to see a performer, I turned to CNBC, for a rebroadcast of last year's Westminster Kennel Club show. I'm a fan of The Boss. (Some of the best shows in my past.) I do think he was out of his league in the finale. Not a lick trading kind of player. lol I also liked the Beach Boys segment. Always good to see Brian Wilson. All this in the context of main stream music. That's the Grammys. The nominees for Best Rock Album prove how narrow a vision the organization possesses.
Too much Whitney for me. However, Jennifer Hudson was stellar. Like Big Jeff, I wanted more Bonnie and Alicia. More Etta James please. Also glad to see LL mention Don Cornelius. Soul Train is an American Institution!!!
I think Joe's nominations for this years Blues Awards are much more significant and I hope everybody is voting for him and also for Beth. Cathy
I dug Bruno, thumbs up....Cold Play BOOOO!!! awful.....Chris Brown, "tool" for beating women....Alicia and Bonnie was very nice.....not enough love for Don Cornelius, that was THE SHOW back in the day.....SOOOOOUUUL TRAIN!!!!.....Adele, not for me, but big ups to her
Shreddy
The performance that I found really distasteful was Nicki Minaj. I thought it was totally bizarre and the musical value of it was zilch. Did not even qualify as music to me and my ears.

jdawg- Loved seeing Joe Walsh with Sir Paul. Paul will be 70 years young in June, flaunt your photo up here JDawg and state your age for the charge of defamation of Sir Paul. I hope you look so good. Yeah, we're all gettin' older...
The younger wife will do wonders for him and he'll keep dying his hair and maybe get a little of this and a little of that to stay young looking. A girl can't help it...he's still Paul!!
Hey, first time I zoned into Bruno, even though I've heard of him. I really liked him, can anyone suggest what I buy first?
I was thinking of RiverCat when Katy Perry performed, I thought she was absolutely terrible! And I'm probably in the minority here, but I've tried liking Dave Grohl, just can't warm up to him, just don't get it, BUT he has improved his vocals, he use to be a screamer and I love his blue guitar!
Ditto Patty, that was NOT music! Just horrible, couldn't figure it out...

Calm down now Angela, I don't think my comment defamed Sir Paul at all. I know he's comin' up (Like a flower) on the big 7-0 and actually not lookin' that age compared to 70 year olds I know. I'm hittin' 5-9 on Sat. and you're more than welcome to shuffle through my photos on my Facebook wall. As Tres has mentioned before in a different topic, I ain't hidin' from nobody, nobody's hidin' from me, yeah, call me the breeze!

Springsteen ok.I loved Bruno.I hear his softer ballady stuff on my kids station all the time. But that number was way cool.If he does more of that than count me in.Really like Adelle,Bonnie and Alicia.Eveything but Niki M.Just way too over the top trying to Madanna/ Lady GaGatize her self.Didn't like her show at all.Like the ending with the jamming.
As I watched Foo Fighters I kept on thinking this is all we have left of rock?Man would Joe or BCC tear down the roof!
Also digged the Beach Boys. They be lookin a bit long in the tooth ,but still can do it!
jdawg ~ calm and kidding! It seems like Yesterday that Paul turned 64, 70 sounds so much older.
