I missed your comment..."They knocked you out of the playoffs"?? Surely you jest! By the way, when was it that the Raiders won their last Super Bowl? Oh yes, that was in the last century in Super Bowl XVIII (18). Well heck, that's only 28 years ago. Maybe they'll win another this century...if you're lucky! lol

Don't know about your own team?  More than figures. Good you have me here to keep you informed.  Yes I do jest.  Green Bay decided they liked the Giants uniforms better and will be wearing them tomorrow.  It's all in the below article.

I don't worry about too much flack from a Green who, 49er, Giants, whose next I am trying to please, as long as it's not the Raiders.

I'll send you tickets if you want to join me in the Black Hole when Green Bay is playing.  You are more than welcome too.  lol  Raider fans always generous.

I am a Raider fan no matter if they are in last place. I was at the AFC Championship game in the Black Hole and tons of other Raider games.  Don't forget we were in the Super Bowl in 2002.
And we are an up and coming team.

I also don't say Brett who? like you after you so took up his cause when he was your QB.  After he's gone, it's Brett who?  I can find that too if you like me to.

Enjoy your relaxation tomorrow.

I'll pull for Eli and the Giants.  Would've liked to have seen the 49ers or the Packers instead.

Wow, where did that all come from?  Offer someone free tickets to their so-called favorite team.
Most people would love an offer like that.

A bit lonely up there in Green Bay?  Maybe want to wrap your cheesehead with tin foil.  Don't want it to get all moldy.  Just looking out for you smile

I wouldn't do that, I don't really want you to jump on the Raider bandwagon.  You can stick to your other teams.

Wrong again there kiddo! lol I was referring to your statement, "They knocked YOU out of the playoffs". Notice the word that you used was "you", meaning somehow they knocked me out of the payoffs. True, I am a Packer fan, but they are not my life nor is this forum. Come on, wake up a little, or is that due to the polluted air that you're breathing out there that's making you somewhat "Dazed and Confused"? wink Now, don't take this personally, but anything that you might post or reference wouldn't be worth my time reading since your opinion of me seems to be a bit skewed. The real question is, what did I ever do to you to make you this vindictive in your comments? I feel sorry for you if this truly is the way you are as a person. roll

Guys, gals, take your little spat to PMs please.

Thanks.

I can't bear to watch Madonna's ego, though I was impressed by the stage. We don't get the commercials, so I'll have to wait till tomorrow to see the new VW on youtube. Maryland particularly liked the Doritos ad.

You might guess from the above that the game hasn't really turned me on so far. Nothing in it at HT.

Gosh, that's got to go down as one of the worst I've seen. Do we really need Madonna lip syncing her techno way through the entire halftime show? Let's put someone on with real talent, like Joe and his Gang! smile

Are you kidding, I am the nicest person in the world.  I offer you free tickets.  All to a person who puts me down.  If you really feel sorry for me, $500,000 will make me feel so much better.  I love how you are concerned for everyone's health. All I'd hoped for. Good clean play. Great defensive and offensive play on both sides and down to the wire. Congrats to the Giants.

Wild game Rick, were you watching the same one I was? 3 flags for too many men on the field, 3 critical dropped passes on NE's final drive. These guys looked like the teams that didn't even make the playoffs at times today. Gronk came within a foot of grabbing the deflected "Hail Mary" that ended the game, but hey it was exciting. My NYG buddy Gary I watched the game with damn near had heart failure in the last 5 minutes, especially when the G-men scored too soon and put the ball back in Brady's hands, you saw Bradshaw hesitate when he got to the goal line and decided, whathehell I'll just fall into the end zone. Crazy game, but I was happy to see Belicheck go home empty handed.

Yes, there were some errors JDawg, but there always are. We were wondering too about the twelve men. How does a RB stop at the goal line after having it pounded in his head for his career to always cross it? lol You and I might have stopped and stood since it was obvious Beli wanted them to score quickly. Good to see that look on his face at the end.

Re: The NFL - National Football League

First SB I've seen for many a year. Stayed up til 0400 to see it through.

I was surprised to see NE come up short after seeming so commanding thru HT and then into the 3rd quarter. Welchek's dropped pass was akiller for them at that moment and Manning completing 'That pass', Stunning catch and to get the feet down under that pressure was fantastic.

Brady and co. didn't really look like they meant it on the final drive. I'm not sure the best team won, but win they did.

Half time show? it was just that - a show. Madonna who?

Read an interview with Bradshaw and he said Eli told him emphatically not to score. He also said it was obvious the Pats gave him that opening to get the ball back in Brady's hands to try to pull it out.  He said he sat on the bench agonizing over scoring the TD till his guys finally knocked down that "Hail Mary" attempt. Had that final pass found Gronk the NY media would have torched Ahmad Bradshaw for what would have been the Giants biggest mental error of the day. Regarding halftime, hey it's the Super Bowl, not a concert, those shows are geared toward visuals for the TV audience, more than half the stadium crowd was watchin' from behind and the sides. Lip synch or not the 35-50 year old ladies @ our party who were raised on Madonna loved it. Their only complaint was that the "Material Girl" didn't flash enough skin. I got a kick out of her almost not makin' the step up on the bleacher seat, it's a biotch gettin' old!

Re: The NFL - National Football League

Bradshaw's "mistake" touchdown was very strange to me. I've seen similar circumstances in games before, but I don't think I've ever seen a team actually try to give away a touchdown before, certainly not in the Super Bowl! I understand why Belichek did it, but still... what does that say about your defense?

Yes, if Gronk gets that rebound in the endzone with time running out, Bradshaw is a goat for all time. But imagine what happens if he does take a knee at the one foot line. Now the clock is running and the Giants have to punch it over. What if the Patriots stop them the first two tries? Now it's third down, time's running out. Do the Giants take their last time out? Do they go ahead and kick the field goal on third down? What if it's a miss? Even if they make it, now the Patriots have to do is get it close enough for a field goal themselves. If their kicker makes a 60-yarder, suddenly Bradshaw, or Manning, or Coughlin is a goat for not taking the seven points that would have won the game.

All things considered, if given a choice between being the Giants kicking off with a minute to go and a four-point lead, or being the Patriots with no time outs left and 80 yards to go, I'd have rather had the lead.

Re: The NFL - National Football League

Not really having a rooting interest, the Stupor Bowl was a real yawn-fest for me this year. I guess it would have been exciting if I was a fan of one of the teams. Even the commercials (which I look forward to every year) were a disappointment.

Time to focus on college hoops. Go Dawgs :-)
