Topic: Gary Moore & Rory Gallagher

Well, I just ordered Gary Moore's Still Got The Blues and Rory Gallagher's Ghost Blues on Amazon. I've heard Still Got The Blues before, but don't have my own copy. Haven't seen the Ghost Blues DVD yet, but I've heard it's really good. I know that Bonamassa is a huge fan of these guitarists.

Re: Gary Moore & Rory Gallagher

Gary has been my number 1 guitarist since 1978.  His nearly 40 year recording catalog has so many great things in it, and so many different sides/styles . . . it's simply amazing.

Rory is a very different artist.  He was much more focused, and oh so very authentic.

Re: Gary Moore & Rory Gallagher

Ordered something new of Gary Moore recently. The concert of 2010 at Montreux.
Concert is available as DVD and CD. I decided for the DVD which shows a very rocky Gary Moore.
On DVD you'll get 10 classic songs and 3 new ones from the 2010 gig and as a bonus 4 songs from a concert he gave in Montreux 1997.

Quality of DVD is brilliant. Crystal clear.  Impressing close-up of Gary Moore's playing.
Especially like the influences of the Emerald Isle you can hear on a number of songs.

Montreux 2010
Over the hills and far away
Thunder Rising
Military Man
Days of heroes
Where are you now?
So far away / Empty rooms
Oh wild one
Blood of Emeralds
Out in the fields
Still got the blues
Walking by myself
Johnny boy
Parisienne walkaways

Bonus tracks 1997
One good reason
Oh pretty woman
Still got the blues
Walking by myself
