Hey All,

Does anyone know of any shop or anyone in the States that is selling a JBLP Goldtop or Candy Apple Blue?

You have a better chance of seing the Beatles reunite before you'll see a Candy Apple Blue JBLP for sale.

LES PAUL 4

Spider is correct on now getting one of the Joe Blue candy les pauls....
The Gold top-Custom shop Aged & unaged ones are not going up for sale as of lately...
.
Gibson did do a limited run of 25 Candy- Blue Les Pauls from the Custom shop....sometimes these also go up 4 sale ..

You can still get a Studio Joe Goldtop.....or a second run Epiphone Gold top

Hope this helps out..

And so castles made of sand melts into the sea, eventually.........

I have one of the 25 LTD run candy blue LP's. One of best sounding LP's I've ever heard! A amazing guitar! I always wondered if the candy apple blue JBLP's weren't pulled from that run for some reason. They're nearly identical.

Oh, I thought they only made 5 of the JBLP Candy Apple Blue?  Didn't realise that there were 25 of them.  There's one hanging up in Joe's Dad's shop isn't there?  Not for sale though, I believe, as it is part of Joe's personal collection??

Re: JBLP Goldtop

Like Spider, I keep an eye on this market, I've haven't seen a GT on the market in months.  There is/was a BonaBurst on ebay, not the same, but close.

They did only make 5 of the candy apple blue JBLP's. The other candy apple blue LP's were a separate limited edition run not associated with Joe or part of the JBLP signature line.

The CAB-JBLP in Lens shop is part of Lens personal collection and is not for sale. The value of the CAB JBLP's is through the roof. The last one I saw for sale was a couple years ago and it went for about 8 grand. If one was to come for sale now I would think it could easily fetch 12 grand. Or more.

I would set ebay to let you know if one is up for sale. Then be willing to pay.
good luck
Cheers Ron

Re: JBLP Goldtop

The only JBLP Candy Blue I ever saw on Ebay was from GuitarBrat years ago....1 of the 5 ever made.
I should have jumped on it at the time...It's all Jimmy Pages Fault...L.O.L !

Spider is correct the Limited Run 25 Candy Blues ones are incredible....even though they are not one of the JBLP 1 of 5 made ones.
I think they are from the same batch as well..they are almost the same...close cousins..super cool Blue color...

And so castles made of sand melts into the sea, eventually.........

This will definitely save you some web surfing time. You can save a particular eBay search that will email you notifications, and these don't expire for a year unless you cancel them. You can also renew them. I use this feature to keep an eye out for things I collect (old Hallmark wooden pens/pencils, vintage chess clocks, etc.) as well as for targeted guitar searches (I found the steal of the century last Christmas on a brand-new Jimmie Vaughan Strat, and I currently have a saved search for a particular guitar I would like to find in time to have Joe sign it when I get to meet him next spring)...

Re: JBLP Goldtop

IF anyone's interested...

There's another Candy Blue L/P on EBAY now...but I DON'T THINK IT'S THE SAME as the limited run of 25 from before.

Re: JBLP Goldtop

Hey all....Happy Holidays

I am more interested in the Goldtop.  I'd take the CAB if there was one available.  I know that it would have to be an act of the gods for that to happen...

But the GT is my main focus...

Re: JBLP Goldtop

LesPaul4 - Keep an eye on the Emporiums at TGP (thegearpage.net) forums.  I've seen 2 or 3 come up for sale on there in the past year.  In fact, that is where I got *mine* from...

Might pay to post a WTB (wanted to buy) ad on there.  Lots of guys trying to sell gear at this time of year to raise cash, and there is a lot of really great gear sitting at the moment and not moving.  Someone might see your WTB ad and be motivated to sell their treasured JBLP for instant cash.

Good Luck!

Re: JBLP Goldtop

Theres a sweet deal on a Bonaburst right now on Ebay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Joe-Bonamassa-B … 4160098eb6

$400 off the original price I think, all is wrong is one tiny chip on the side of the body.

Re: JBLP Goldtop

LesPaul4 - I just remembered...When I was scouring around for a JBLP for myself, I know that Sam Ash music in NY had a Gold Top one in stock.  This was around 8 months ago, but it had been in their store for nearly a year when I was talking to them.

Call Steve Pisani there and see if he still has it...
