Re: Joe Bonamassa Signature Wah (has anybody heard anything?)

My order should arrive middle of next week. If this wah is as good as my Wilson it'll find a permanent place on my board.

I'm not getting any love at all on this. Are you getting emails that tell you this info or are you checking status on your account. I checked Junk/SPAM folders and can't find anything.

Can't speak for anyone else, but my notification was a JB Store email which contained the UPS tracking number...

Have patience. They will get them out as quickly as they can. It is very possible it's been shipped but the notification email wasn't sent. And, just in case, I would check your credit card as your cc acount is not charged until the item ships.

Not True.. I ordered Dec 2, they processed my cc on Dec 4.

people here didn't start getting shipping notices till around Dec 14 (or something close to that)

But I have faith.. it will come;
even if I haven't received an email yet.

[Edit: just received my email and tracking number tonight; now I'm guessing I have to pay between $20-$30 for custom/import fee's]

Well, I hope it comes next week. Would be a cool Christmas present.

Re: Joe Bonamassa Signature Wah (has anybody heard anything?)

I got my shipping notice the other day. UPS tracking says it should be here by December 19th.

http://www.jimdunlop.com/product/JB95-B … a-Cry-Baby

Here's the Manual: http://www.jimdunlop.com/files/manuals/JB95_manual.pdf

Whether it’s with his bluesy solo career or with the rocking Black Country Communion, Joe Bonamassa’s playing is fiery, deep, and powerful.
And when he really wants to express himself in a solo, he steps on a Cry Baby wah.
That’s why we at Dunlop worked with Joe to develop the Joe Bonamassa Signature Cry Baby, specially engineered to fit in perfectly with Joe’s system, from the way it looks to the way it sounds.
On the outside, it sports a classy copper top with a smooth-finish black body.
On the inside, it features large, vintage-style thru-hole components, a Halo inductor (for added harmonic content), an output buffer (to prevent impedance imbalance with vintage fuzz pedals), and a switch for true-bypass or non-true-bypass operation
(Joe prefers non-True Bypass as it darkens the high end).
With its huge vocal sweep range, this is one of the most expressive Cry Babys ever, and it’s Joe’s tool of choice to accentuate every soulful bend and bluesy wail.
“The first pedal I ever purchased was a Cry Baby, 25 years ago,” he says.
“I am so honored to have my name on this pedal and hope it brings you as much fun as it brings me every night on stage

Mine's scheduled for early delivery, today!

Gibson Custom Joe Bonamassa Ltd Signature Les Paul VOS # 31

It actually DID arrive on December 16, as scheduled, but I had already left the building for a speech competition with my students, and when I returned Friday evening I discovered they had left it in the (locked) Main Office rather than put it in the mail room...   hmm

It certainly LOOKS fabulous (S/N AB40G627)! Joe's signature is molded into the pedal's surface cover, and stenciled on the back of the pedal, but no actual Joe sig on mine anywhere (which makes sense, since I'm sure he was out on tour when this shipment arrived at the JB Store). Nice pic of him on a little booklet that gives the pedal's specs...

For those longing for a tone report, you should know two things:

  1. This week is semester finals week where I teach, and I'm not going to have a chance to play with it at all until Christmas vacation starts...

  2. I am such a wretched player that anything I would have to report would need to be consumed with a giant salt lick...   wink

Nice little stocking stuffer, this one...

Re: Joe Bonamassa Signature Wah (has anybody heard anything?)

I too got mine today! I doubt it's only in my mind, but like my Fuzz, it sounds so much better with my Les Paul! After playing with it for a little while, I cracked it open, and toyed with the bypass switch a bit. I don't know which direction is which, but it's in the direction I think sounds better and it ROCKS! I've never been a pedal guy before I got this and the matching Fuzz Face, but damn, these things are so much fun and sexy looking! Here's to more copper Joe B. pedals!
