Topic: JBLP #214 in action ...

Hey guys,

I recorded a small clip a few days ago with my JBLP to get an idea about the sound i am getting currently at home with my setting...

I wanted to share with you since i play Joe and BCC stuff ...

That is a great tone you have there from that combination of gear and hands!!

Did you record this with the camera mic?  I am guessing so because it has also picked up the noise of the pick hitting the strings too, which is distracting a little.

Give it a shot with an SM57 or something placed directly in front of the speaker for perfect TONE capture!

Thanks a lot Devan, it is not exactly a cam, it is a Zoom Q3, but I have thinking about buying a proper mic soon to get the Exact tone i have in the room. i heard that the Rode Nt2a was also an excelent choice.

From all I have heard, Rode mics are great.  I just bought a Rode NT1A a few weeks back.  Still haven't used it in a recording situation yet, but can't wait to use it to mic up my acoustic.
