Topic: It's summer time.....

As a student, summer time has now officially started for me as i have just completed all my GCSE's (I'm not sure what the American equivilent is, i'm 16 so i suppose it would be similar to whatever exams you do when your that age). Generally, i would be very happy as i have got over 2 months off to do more or less what i want only this time it is even better as i have planned a trip over to Michael Lynch country to see Joe in Tavistock on 2nd August and in Poole on the 3rd. I was privileged to see Joe at the Sheperds Bush Empire and i really can't wait to see one of his concerts again.

Is anyone else going to either of these venues?

By the way that reminds me, has anyone else used the ticket company seeticket at www.seeticket.com to order the tickets for the concert at Tavistock Wharf? I ordered them over a month ago and they haven't arrived although the tickets i ordered from ticketweb for the concert in Poole came several days after I placed the order. I'd hate to not get the tickets and not be allowed in, that could be fatal yikes

Re: It's summer time.....

Hi Matt
We'll be in Poole at Mr Kyps on 3rd August, hooking up with gsj and mrs gsj.  Will have to look out for you or maybe arrange for forum members to meet up beforehand in a local hostelry.  It's my home town and my favourite local music venue so am looking forward to it.  It will be so different from Shepherd Bush.  Hoping to see Michael again and see if we can beat him this time to the front of the queue.  I really wanted to go to Tavistock and Falmouth as well but decided to give those a miss and go to Amsterdam in October instead.

I'm sure you'll get your tickets in good time.  Sometimes they don't post them out until nearer the gig.  I'll keep everything crossed for you.

PS  Hope the GCSE's well went - you'll probably get your results around beginning of August?  Good excuse for a celebration then.

Re: It's summer time.....

Hehe, thanks mate big_smile. Na the GCSE results arent out until 21st i think of August for me so ah well, could work out for the best depending on how i've done ;p

I'll probably queue up as early as my dad will be willing to as i definately want to get on the front row, i suppose if someone is already there when I arrive i could take a stab in the dark and say "Are you a forum member then?". big_smile

Re: It's summer time.....

Summer's here and the time is right for dancin' in the streets. Enjoy your summer Matt, and by all means rock out at that Joe show!!! Funny you should mention your GCSE's as my 18 year old son has to take his CHSPE (California High School Proficiency Exam) in the morning. Graduation was 2 weeks ago, but you don't actually get it over with till you take and pass this exam. This is only typical of California here in the states. Enjoy your school days as the cold hard world is waiting out there. LOL.
