The last info I heard was that the project was put on indefinite hold.
I asked Joe about it in Cleveland. From what he said, it will be about 2 years and will be heavily influenced by his '59
Start saving your pennys now...this one will be a few $$$$ I'm sure
Actually, Epiphone is doing a second run of the JB LP Goldtop announced here:

It is. In my opinion, it is the best guitar Epiphone has produced recently (and I suspect Joe's input had a lot to do with that). Unlike some others, I'm not disappointed at all the Epi has decided to produce a second run. I know there were a lot of fans who missed out on a great guitar the first time (through no fault of their own), and it is cool that they'll now be able to enjoy this fine instrument. I didn't buy mine for collecting purposes, and the only folks who will have to worry about resale value are the folks who will administer my estate someday...
That said, it does appear as if the second run buyers are going to get a nicer COA than came with the originals. That's a bit disappointing...

Two years I wonder why so long?

Ask the Feds why...
I'm a bit disappointed that they are doing a second run of the Epiphones seeing as there were only 1000 ever meant to be built. I doubt that I'll ever sell it but It was kind of cool knowing that there were only 2 or 3 of the same guitar from where I am from.

oh yes forgot about that aspect of things. who knows when I will not hold my breath. Thanks for reminding me Spider
Cheers Ron
At least you have the satisfaction of know you have a original run Epiphone Joe Bonamassa Signature model guitar. Its sure to be worth more then a second run.

Indeed. You've probably already noticed all the Les Paul models showing up now with the new Baked Maple fretboards...might be awhile before Gibson's supply of rosewood is back to where it needs to be to meet demand...
Hmm...Joe already has 4 signature guitars by the one manufacturer? (1) Original LP Gold Tops (2) Bonabursts (3) Epi LP Gold Tops (4) JB Studio Gold Top.
New one would make it 5 releases... (And yes, I am bundling Gibson and Epiphone as the one manufacturer as they are owned by the same parent company!)
I am wondering what is the most number of signature guitars released by the one manufacturer ever? I know Clapton has a few, but it would be interesting to see how many artists have broken through the 5 release mark...
Slash certainly has had more than 5.
Jimmy Page has 5 models.....from Gibson.
95-97 Les Paul with the push-pull series-parallel vol/tone regular Gibson run,,,, Jimmy's #1 Les Paul reissue Gibson Custom Shop,
Jimmy's #2 Les Paul reissue Gibson Custom Shop, Sg Doubleneck model Gibson Custom Shop, Black Beauty Les Paul Custom Gibson Custom Shop.
(The Custom Shop models -1st 25 of each one were signed & played by Jimmy himself --signed on the back of their headstocks)
