Topic: Looks like the new Catagory 5 Joe B Jubilee is now in Joe's rig

Hi All
Viewing vid's from N.C. gig Joe now has the Catagory 5 Signiture Joe B Jubilee in his rig. I am lucky to have one of these new amps. They are killer. Hopefully Joe can chime in and give us his assessement.

I was at the Greensboro show... I noticed two Cat5 amps, didn't realize that one of them was a Jubilee clone. Although I immediately noticed the Jub was not present, because it is ALWAYS there!

So what's the story on the East amp? It's on stage with some serious high wattagebad boys!

Just looked at some recent show pic. Joe is using 2 - Cat5 amps. One I believe is the Cat5 Jub clone but he's still using a Marshall Jubilee. It's a black version Jubilee ("Black 88"), the one JB used in BCC. So if your looking for the usual Silver Jubilee, you won't see it.

I don't think Joe was too worried about looks. If it didn't have the tone he wants it wouldn't be in his rig.

Yeah the silver tolex really set them apart from the rest, but oh well, as long as the sound is on point.  I just wish the dumble style heads were wider, I think they look funny on top of a wide marshall sized cab.. but thats just me being ridiculous  smile

Its nice to see Joe changing things up a bit.  Hopefully he'll keep evolving and change his rig around more often.

I'd love to see a simpler rig.  Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Derek Trucks, all play thru one amp for entire shows... and their tone is not lacking.

That said Joe has got some killer tone.  I am not complaining. I am in total awe of his live shows.

His new stuff with Beth Hart is pretty nice too...

watch Joe's Performance at the 2010 Crossroads Festival. He was playing a Bonaburst through a Bluesbreaker combo. Most likely with a TS808 in front. Seems to sound pretty good.

No mention of a signature jubilee model on the Category 5 web site. Is this a real amp or maybe internet speculation?

Catagory 5 does not have it on there web site yet. If you want more information contact Don Ritter. His email address is under contacts on there web sitre. tell him Ron told you to contact him. They do exist I have one.
