Jane H. - Dennis Kucinich - I love it!
Micheal - Two and Half Men is a comedy staring Charlie Sheen, but all the actors are great on that show - I think it's on NBC.

oh my god, Michael, you don't know what brownies are?? It's one of the basic four food groups...brownies, ice cream, M&M's and donuts. ROFLMAO

Brownies are a dense, chocolately cross between a cake and a bar cookie. Only better. You can find a receipe on any cooking site on the Web.

Two and a half men is a "comedy". The Colbert Report is Comedy.

When you come back to the states I'll make you brownies and we can watch Colbert. It will be sublime. smile

I'm just saying.

Vacation........Chicago, that city has it all, the museums are great, and dont get me started on the blues clubs, I was surprised to see how small " Legends" is. Went to 70's night at "wrigley field", still got my tye dyed shirt they were selling outside the ball park. Doing a week in N.Y.next year cant wait to tear that place up.

Shredit...awesome to hear a great review like yours from a visitor to our city. I try not to take Chicago for granted since I've lived here all my life. I'm biased, but I'll agree with your assessment.

Mornin Bill,

I was very impressed the way they get the morning comuters into the loop, I cant believe other cities havent follwed there lead. I never have seen a place, where people ( probably working off fines ) are cleaning cigarete butts off the streets at 3 am.

Got a quick story for you. I was partying hard late into the morning at this one club, I went solo, my buddies actually thought we were there for union business and would go to bed early. Anyways, I got turned the wrong way coming out of some club, I start going in the wrong direction, and I'm on foot. I must have walked 10 blocks minimum, this cop pulls up next to me ask what Im doing down here, so I tell him. " your way off, your going in the wrong direction, jump in, this is no place to be at this time ". Who says cops arnt good guys, gave me a lift all the way back to my hotel. Oh, buy the way, New Comiskey Park is a joke, what did they do run out of money when they built it? Got to go work!

Yeah,
Somewhat of a disappointment after seeing the parks build in the same relative time period (Cleveland and Baltimore come to mind). It's not bad if you're at field level, but I'd rather watch on TV than sit in those nosebleeds!

Re: YOUR TOP 10

1. FOOD Tofu, green peppers, onion and black bean sauce with egg fried rice or mixed bean chilli with rice and nachos, sour cream, cheese, salsa (no guacamole) both with a traditional cask bitter/ale - the darker the better - alternatively cheese board (no Brie but bring on anything else) with tawny port

2.VACATION So far Nidd Hall in Yorkshire - hoping to change that next year with a US visit combining with Joe on tour

3. TV Programme - ER of course / alternatively Numbers neither of which are UK - maybe i'm living in the wrong place?

4. CAR - any Dodge

5. SPORTS PERSONALITY - Ronnie O'Sullivan

6. FILM - THe Rock - just because it combines two of my fave actors Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage who both play excellent parts

7. LIKE MOST TO MEET - other than Joe (again) Camel frontman Andy Latimer

8. ACTOR - Sean Connery (pips Nicholas Cage in the Sexy stakes)

9. MUST DO BEFORE I DIE - live life to the full, get married, see Joe in his home-town, pass my final Advanced Diploma in International Taxation Exam, learn to play the guitar?, win the lottery and buy a lovely house with my own stables, land, sauna, gym, venue big enough to house whatever size audience Joe is playing to at that time then invite all the forum members along free of charge, Joe and the band along to play for us all (paid of course) and requisition the local hotel for accommodation for everyone - Joe and co would be staying in our guest suites - OK so some of those are more realistic than others

10. MUSICIAN - (apart from Joe) - Andy Latimer

"Stellar" a word used by Joe Bonamassa (also apt as a description of the man himself cool)

Re: YOUR TOP 10

SPOILER ALERT.....for those who haven't seen Heat.

Paul,

They say great minds think alike, and your favorite movie is the same as mine "Heat". That is a great movie isn't it? A sad ending though, but I guess Neal (Deniro) had to square everything up at the end by taking care of Waingro (Kevin Gage), right? You know, I think I'll pull it out of the collection and watch it again tonight!

Roy

Great minds indeed Roy,

It was kinda sad yeah, but very good, and like you said, he had everything squared away by the end. The scene when Neal's driving through the tunnel on his way to the airport to escape, those eyes man, you just knew it. DeNiro was brilliant in that role it has to be said. There are very few really good films where you actually care whether the bad guy buys it or not but this was definitely one of those. Think I might do the same this weekend, haven't seen it for a couple of months!! smile

Roy, one day my wife went screaming out of the house and down to the mailbox to intercept one of those surveys that I filled out.  She said that's not for you, they want a normal person's opinion.

They got the wrong house, says I.
