Topic: Joe's Rig at the Beacon

Has anyone seen him with this many amps?  3 cabs and 3 heads.

Re: Joe's Rig at the Beacon

you know what would be cool? increasing the numbers of variables on the dumble-side. Something like a caroll ann, 2 van weelden's, a fuchs, and more more more! haha that would be cool.

Was I right in seeing the Caveman's photo showing both SJ's were the 2555 25/50 models?  wink

Re: Joe's Rig at the Beacon

I really does look like it.

Re: Joe's Rig at the Beacon

Interesting I didn't think Joe likes the 50 watt ones. Maybe he can spill the beans. Man 6 amps! I don't even like taking one to gigs! HA

Re: Joe's Rig at the Beacon

Alan mentioned on TGP today in the Carol Ann Love thread, that Joe's using 2 more. one for spare, and one to run the Theramin. Before theramin was going through unused Cat 5 channel

Sounds like an awesome rig.

Re: Joe's Rig at the Beacon

Most definitely the priciest channel switching amp in the world right now.

Woosh!  cool

Re: Joe's Rig at the Beacon

Other than amps, I saw he brought out the Skylark again? Can we expect a video with that soon?   big_smile

Those are 100 watt amps.

Re: Joe's Rig at the Beacon

Hey Spider the ones in the pic are 50 watts, but I think someone said they are for the Thermin and the others are 100 watts like your old black one.

No they are 100 watters.  Model 25/50 is stands for 25 years in the Amp Production business and 50 years in the Music Industry... hence why it is the anniversary model... the 2555 designates it is the 100 watt amp of the 25/50 model line...

Ben

PS - I also own one so its legit info LOL.

Using a Carol Ann to run just the Theremin!   lol  ...That's like buying a Ferrari California just to pop down to the corner shop to buy some milk!!   big_smile

Wasn't it using the space shuttle to go for milk? lol tongue

Re: Joe's Rig at the Beacon

The Carol Ann is run as a proper guitar amp.   The spare Jubilee is run for the theremin ...  This way the main Jubilee has a spare thats already powered up and the theremin has a dedicated amp..   Its like my saying my other Ferrari is a Aston Martin..   cool

I haven't seen pictures yet but I can tell you that the 2555 is a 100 watt Jubilee.

Joe used this rig for the first time (live) in Minneapolis to start this leg of the tour in the USA.

Don't bust out a line like that without a little warning, Joe. When I laugh so hard I shoot hot coffee out of my nose, that just plain hurts...    big_smile

Re: Joe's Rig at the Beacon

Basically it's the same rig Joe has used except now your seeing the spare amp(s) atop a extra speaker cabinet.
