Talkin' to my great friend James Biehn (Des Moines premiere guitarist) of Soapbox Prophets and he would love nothing more than to open for Joe at The Surf in Clear Lake in September. He and this band have a huge following in Iowa and I would love to see them open for Joe, plus this would expose a heck of a lot more people to Joe. I emailed Jim M for suggestions, but just wanted to toss it into the ring for any other ideas.....contact the venue?? contact Joe's mgmt???If ya' got an extra second check them out at

Okay, it's late...like 1:50 am, but I just got home from a gig where my friend James Biehn of the Soapbox Prophets was playing. And guess what? I got to learn the "fine art" of cable wrapping. Now of course, I had on my Joe Bonamassa Always On the Road shirt and I got some, "Hey, that Bonamassa guy is great." And of course, I just happened to have some great Joe Bonamassa pictures in my purse(Thanks again pal Photogal), that I always luv to share....anyway, back to the fine art of cable wrapping......watch out Donnie, Dave, and Aaron....I'm learning...I even helped pack up gear..........James delivered another outstanding performance. He has gotten to play with Derek Trucks at a gig in Iowa City and River Cat, you're gonna' love this....he won an area contest and got to play with Tesla. Now tonight it was pretty amusing, the venue had his name in a plastic placard and he was billed.....James Biehn, formerly of Tesla......fun evening....maybe a couple too many Mike's Hard Cranberry, but pattyluvsjoe had a great time rockin' out with a local and also sharing the Bonamassa gospel.
"I'm not nice to any guitar!"
