I also went on to bed and missed the ending, but was up at 5 and could not believe it. There is something magical going on for the Cards the way they got in and have continued to refuse to lose, it's in the CARDS so to speak. I won't miss any of tonight barring a severe power outage, and there is no way that St Louis loses game 7.

I wanted to go to bed, BUT I just couldn't!!  This is one wild ride, best entertainment on TV!!  Talk about ANTICIPATION, the game will be heavily tuned into tonight.  Both teams must have been a bundle of nerves with all the silly errors. Rhonda, you must be on the edge of your seat!

P.S  Maybe its the lucky necklace that Tony LaRussa is wearing, given to him by Carlos Santana. OR is it the power of the squirrel?? big_smile

As though the first game of the season wasn't bad enough for Brian Stow, now this comes out on the very last day. Frank has got to be the greediest, slimiest individual in ownership in the history of MLB. His lawyers are now spinning this thing anyway they can in hopes of reducing his liability, before MLB makes him a final offer to get him out for good. You know what they say though, go after the deepest pockets. I hope they get more than 50 million and that the franchise is on the hook for at least half of it.

In a related story, it appears McCourt skimmed close to 200M while looting the coffers, stands to personally rake a huge windfall in a sale, and wants to have immunity from MLB for the losses. Can it get any worse? There is a long standing rivalry between the Dodgers and Padres, but I truly feel sad for the fans up there.

Right, I'm staying up - which means I'll be popping in here from time to time to share reactions. As far as the game goes, I can't imagine it being more exciting than last night's, which I have now seen. The Cards cheated certain death on numerous occasions to snatch the most incredible and unlikely victory, so I reckon the Universe must be on their side.  wink

I'll be looking for you George. I'm glad you got to see the replay. Not a well played game, but thrilling to the max. We were jumping up and down in the living room. More than once! If it is half as exciting tonight I'll be happy. I can feel for both teams. The Rangers came back well after the shelling by Pujols, can they do it again? That was a crushing loss. The Cardinals seem a team of destiny.

Incredable finish last night to an even more incredable season.  It took Carpenter a couple innings to get into a groove, but when he did I knew the game was over.  Great day for Cards fans.

The Cards winning is the definition of DESTINY, the writing was on the wall with Game#6.  The motto...AIN'T NO STOPPING US NOW...seems to fit the bill.  A very exciting World Series, but I do feel bad for Texas...one more out twice in game #6 and game #7 wouldn't have happened... Yep, destiny.

Have fun Rhonda.  I wonder if your parade will be on Halloween like ours was...little kids make tough choices...skip the school party or go to the parade...but party all day...eat chocolate all night!!   big_smile
