I saw him with an Iced Tea LP with a bigsby playing Dust Bowl on a YouTube video somewhere

black jubilee is another new addition i think

2 van veeldons instead of 1 van veeldon and 1 carol ann ( i think)

I'm sure there are probably more too:)

Saw him on Tuesday at Cardiff - guitars were -

- '59 reissue LP (possibly the 'gary Moore' LP...he used it for 'Midnight Blues amongst others)
- New-looking Cherry s/burst LP (possibly hired?? Only used for 'Slow Train'
- The aforementioned goldtop LP with Bigsby
- Bonaburst LP
- The red ES-355
- White three-pickup Explorer on 'Young Man Blues'
- The Flying V
- The sunburst acoustic (not sure of make)
- A dark red, kind of Telecaster-ish looking guitar, only used for encore of 'Bird On A Wire'

Amps were the Silver Jubilee, Black Jubilee and I think 2 Van Weeldens, all with Van Weelden cabs

By the way, the show itself was supreme as well (I've reviewed it on the show reviews and set lists bit)  cool

Peace
James

It wasn't the Gigolotti......it looked kind of a bit like John Mayer's dark red Rick Turner guitar...I'll see if anyone else knows, this is after all the Guitars, Amps and FX page wink

Re: seeing joe tomorrow , anything diferent gear wise?( JB GOLDTOP??)

I believe that the

A dark red, kind of Telecaster-ish looking guitar, only used for encore of 'Bird On A Wire'

is an Ernie Ball Music Man 25th anniversary (which sounds great!!).

If it looks like the pic I've linked to, yes:

I certainly hope the MM is still in his touring arsenal.  When I first saw the RAH video, that was the guitar that became the object of my desire (even though I eventually bought the Epi Goldtop). I'll own one someday, I hope...

Ye lovely sounding guitar. John Mayer used one on his last album for "Assasin" I recall.

Re: seeing joe tomorrow , anything diferent gear wise?( JB GOLDTOP??)

The second night at the Carre in Amsterdam, Joe was mainly using his second '59, I believe it's called the Principal Skinner burst, #9 1951. The other Les Paul's were the Bonaburst, a 59 reissue and Goldtop with bigsby (with the strap I made for Joe)
His other electrics were a Gibson 3 pickup white Explorer, the V, an Ernie Ball/Music Man Steve Morse and an Axxis.

Re: seeing joe tomorrow , anything diferent gear wise?( JB GOLDTOP??)

the opening number tonight was on a Strat - I think it was Rory Gallagher's? but might have misheard as the mob round us were making a racket !

It certainly was Gallagher's, was amazed they brought that out for him to borrow - Joe looked like a kid on Christmas day not wanting to put it down.

Amazing show..same guitars as above, two jubilees and to Van Weeldens..great, great show!
