Topic: A message from Curby

Hi folks,
Within the last hour I've had an email from Scott, aka Curby. He's asked me to post a message on here to say that things haven't been going smoothly for him of late and, in his words, he's "had to put the music obsession on the back-burner for a while".

Don't know how many of you know these things, recently he's had a change of jobs, which is enough to test anyone's sanity but to make things more interesting he's broken a couple of toes. However, his wife, who's not in the most robust health has just been told there's a set-back that's going to require surgery.

As you can guess, it's knocked the wind out of Curby's sails so he's not going to be around on here much for a while. That said, in the moments he does get chance to visit, I'm sure reading a supportive message or two would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

We're with you Scott

Mike

Always glad to show support to a fellow Bona-buddy so I'm with you too, Scott.  Hope things work out and look forward to having you around again real soon.

Scott -  I hope things work out for the best for you and your family.  As a wise man once said...Ask not for a lighter burden, but for broader shoulders.  I'll be asking the man upstairs to broaden your shoulders my friend.

Re: A message from Curby

Curby, face the test head on with this in mind....failure is not an option. C ya back here real soon!

Scott, very sorry to hear that fate has taken a turn for the worse. Know that I will be praying and thinking about you both. We will sorely miss your posts, especially where new artists or new music is concerned.

Re: A message from Curby

Scott,

would like to echo the thoughts of my fellow BonaCrew members on here. Rockfarmers comment is particularly apt.

It is the way of things that there are stones in the road, but sometimes you just gotta wonder and ask why there's got to be so many of them!

These are tough times and just watching the daily news can bring you down big time ,let alone what is going on in our / your own life.

But there's people here who feel for you man. We don't know you personally maybe, but we 'know' you. I don't know if there is anything we or I can do, but if you ever feel the need to rant off on something and would prefer to do it privately instead of here, then feel free to hit the mail button, or we can hook up on a chat forum somewhere.

I know you wrote on the Dave Osti thread that his song 'The Thorn' had a special meaning for you at a difficult time. I'll be playing it tonight and sending a thought out to you.

Why don't we eliminate all the warning labels and let things sort themselves out?

Re: A message from Curby

Thanks everyone for sending good thoughts to my wife.  She has had to endure a lot, but always has faced adversity with a determination I'll never possess.  Her surgery is in two weeks and we're hoping for the best.  I still visit the forum often as it's a comfort to me.  Like my good friend Mike said, my music obsession is temporarily down, kinda like the forum has been of late, but I'll be back at annoying you all sooner than you think.  Thanks again for your support!

So sorry you're dealing with such heavy issues. You know this community cares. If my nursing knowledge can help, please e-mail any time. Stay balanced, and remember music heals. I second BJJ and I too will cast a spell or two.  Cathy
