Yeah Rick, I swore off eating any buffalo wings the remainder of the football season after that game,  mad

That was a killer of a game for us.  That was heartbreak city.  Raiders had it.  But Buffalo found out what to do and it's something that the Raiders are going to have to work on.  Raiders will be playing a different type of offense this week, so see if this is more adaptable, because I know how Buffalo exploited.  I can't let you in on it, because we play you twice.  But there is some questions that have to be looked at regarding our defense, even though our front four are really working it.  But I can take away from that game that our offense has gone to the next level.  Very happy with the play calling and love that they are taking chances and the coach is using the players to the best of their abilities.  It's still too early, but Jason Campbell has improved from last season. Hopefully, he can be the quarterback we so desperately need.  I am rooting for him because we have the weapons for him.  And McFadden is McFabulous.  He is Mr. Excitement. Proud of him from recovering from those turf toes.  Not an easy injury, especially for a running back.  And now he looks like he is back on track.

Rick, that is terrible that they shifted games on you. Hopefully that will be the only time.  I'll be listening to your game too with KC. KC is looking different from what was expected, so curious to see what happens between you 2.

I am enjoying the whole football season so far.  There have been a number of exciting games and I just Can't Get Enough!  Where are you Bad Co., you need to sing this to me   wink

Well, where are all you NFL fans?? I would have thought that there was more than enough to talk about after some of the truly amazing, unbelievable results yesterday - or are y'all waiting for the Skins to add to the shocks by beating the Cowgirls tonight?  tongue

No sane observer could ever have predicted that the only other unbeaten teams after week three (Packers are no surprise) would be the Bills and the Lions, and maybe the Skins too.

Truly astonishing comebacks by the Bills and Lions, a surprise defeat for the Jets (Cat happy!), and Cam Newton showing that he prefers to play in rain.  big_smile

With apologies to Angela (and others), I really have to say that I particularly enjoyed the losses of the Eagles, Pats and Vikings together with the discomfort of their respective QBs, especially McNabb's!  tongue

Sadly, I won't be able to watch live tonight since k/o is 2:30 am here.  sad

Re: The NFL - National Football League

Well, to the River Cat, the Chiefs look pretty sad. The Bolts handled them fairly easily and the game wasn't as close as the score said. I'm still not too pleased with the play down here. Uncharacteristic turnovers are killing us. Rivers seems a bit off.  That was a fun game to watch last night, the Steelers got a big scare from the Colts D, but pulled it out. I was pulling for the Colts even though there is some fierce rivalry here. So far, lots of surprises in some outcomes. Lions??? maybe for real.

Re: The NFL - National Football League

my Falcons underachieved to say the least at TB. They are not one of the big boys and unless Matt Ryan steps up with some big games they are not going to make any playoffs. Julio Jones had a pretty good game for ATL. Congrats to the Bills, Lions, Raiders, and Saints too I guess for pulling a tough one out against a very talented Texan team. I am watching Cam Newton closely and he did not have such a good day. He put some close but overthrew most of the medium-long downfield throws. To his credit he threw on target for the go ahead score, and he ran well, also ran smart - he does have a feel of when to ditch or get out of bounds. and so he has his first win, bravo! I know, I'm an Alabama fan but just cannot help pulling for him. His QB coach last I heard is Mike Shula former UA head coach, there's a twist.

Looks like I'll miss the first half (at least) cuz of the inevitable  O'Hare flight delay...

Yeah, quite pumped on the Bill's win. One more and they can't finish worse than last year. They finally got a winning trio on board (GM Buddy Nix, Head Coach Chan Gailey & QB Ryan Fitzpatrick). Fitz has that gunslinger mentality like Jim Kelly and the fans here just love him.

Bills/'Skins in Toronto should be fun!  big_smile

The stinkin' Colts.  Looks like they're playing for a draft pick this year.  Hope they get that QB from Stanford.

Re: The NFL - National Football League

don't be too discouraged there Scott, he'll be back next year. But both the Fins and Colts are going to beat somebody.........someday here soon. The lotto for the top pick will go to the new expansion team the KC Chiefs lol , who really don't look like they can beat any team. and they will probably jump on Andrew Luck, who wouldn't.

Re: The NFL - National Football League

Man, that was a pisser - the Cowgirls were there for the taking and the Skins really should have been two TDs clear by HT instead of nothing but FGs. I think Grossman needs to shoulder the blame for this entirely unnecessary defeat. But, I am impressed by the Skins defense, I don't think anyone will score a lot against us this season.

All credit to Romo for pulling off an unlikely win despite his receivers not knowing where to run and his center being unable to count.  roll

Methinks the 'skins O-line should shoulder some of the blame as well. I only caught the second half but from what I saw, even with the 'boys in a dime package, they couldn't keep the pressure off Grossman.

'Bout choked on my bologna sandwich reading about the expansion team lol!  Just goes to show there's always somebody who has it worse.  I read this morning Manning plans to return in December.

He might try to practice in Dec., but I wouldn't bank on it.
