Topic: unsure what to do i hope joe can come in with some advise!

I have the chance to own a aged jb goldtop , its been my dream of ine for years to have this guitar, now i know there is a new jb sig custom shop coming out at some point and i really would like to know what it is so i can make my choice its really hard to know what to do i know they will great whatever but i only have limited amout of money! help joe!! big_smile

Buy the Goldtop, they are stunning guitars and already sought after.

Buy the Goldtop you can always sell it if you like the new model better. If its a deal don't miss out for something you man not get.

I would say look at the goldtop and play it - if you decide it's for you then that's the decision made. If not wait for something you are going to love.

At the end of the day they are fairly traditional Les Pauls with nice touches - the new one won't be radically different and once you have bonded with your guitar you aren't going to swap it for something 5% different which you might not even feel fits you even if it looks great on the wall.

The JB Goldtop is a very nice guitar.

Play the gold top through a Marshall. I guaranteed you'll love it. I had to have one after I played one at a guitar center.

I've never played one but I agree with everyone else.  If you want it, buy it!  Always take the sure bet.  I doubt you'll have any trouble selling it later on if you choose to for any reason.  Who knows if and when a signature model will be coming out, and what it might be..
