Janikowski and Elam both hit there's in Denver in the mile high altitude and Dempsey hit his @ sea level. Some may say Dempsey had the advantage only having half a foot that he kicked with along with a blunt ended boot which many wondered if it may have been weighted. The 3 of them hold the record till somebody out does 'em.

Heck of a game. Incredible boot! Altitude yes, but in the rain and slick! No debate from me, I bow to the masters. I doubt we'll see 64, though that one might have made it.
It's shaping up to be a tough row to hoe here in the AFC West. Huge game for the Bolts next week. Losing our pk on the first play of the season was not good.
Thanks for the well wishes on C-Bass's kick. It was nice to see him become part of NFL history. He has been such a huge part for the Raiders all these years and has given us a number of mind-boggling kicks, that this was just what the Raiders fans were hoping to have happen, him getting a place in NFL record books. He's known throughout the league for his leg and that leg that night gave us the win. What's understated is his accuracy also, a lot of times, right down the middle. Thanks for the win C-Bass, that was the 3 pt difference in the game.
I know the 2 happiest people on the field that night when he kicked that was him and Shane Lechler, who are each other's biggest fans and supporters. Great hold on the kick Lechler. Shane Lechler also had a 77 yd punt. The 2 came to the Raiders together and have a very special relationship. These 2 have made a big difference for the Raiders and they both work very hard on technique to improve every year.
It was an exciting game from start to finish and loved seeing Darrin Mcfadden start off where he left off last year with that explosiveness, speed, cuts, and power. That run where he switched the ball from right to left when he started going left just shows his football prowess. And then for Michael Bush to finish up the running for the last 4 minutes to seal the deal was sweet. They have had problems keeping the ball till the end of the game, so that was very nice to see and hopefully can be a turnaround for them. I saw some great things, like our defense front four.
Knockback, yeah baby. Safety blitzes, loved that. Saw some things that will need work like the penalties and false starts. Give the coach credit for his offensive play calling and right on top to throw that challenge flag to give us that turnover. If he didn't do that, Denver may have won. And Denver's QB Orton gave us a gift with the ball slipping out of his hand. It could have been the monsoon rain that made that happen but they will take it. I don't know what will happen with Denver QB situation, but during that particular game, Orton didn't quit. That's what made it exciting.
But it is only 1 game and got crazy Buffalo next week. I hope they used all their points up. I hope they are exhausted.
And even though we didn't have ESPN's no. 1 announcers calling our game. I am glad we didn't. This may be the 4th announcing crew, but I really enjoyed their commentary and Trent Dilfer's analysis and insight throughout the whole game. He made the game extra special for me and give's the unsung players of the games their props.
And made some in-depth points that you don't hear others make. Very fair for both teams.
Also Rick, let's make the AFC the wild wild west this year. Hope for lots of excitement
