Thanx for the info on the 2 songs.  I thought it was Bad Co. but it's on an "old" mixed cassette I used to listen to back in the ol' daze which I haven't seen since *forever*.  As far as "One Of The Days" goes, I am not familiar with the Ten Years After version (yet).  Then again, I wasn't familiar with the Led Zed version of "Tea For One" either until I heard Joe's AMAZING version.  Gonna go check iTunes right now to see if "One Of These Days" is available there.

Speaking of Bad Company, I really loved that first album, but I gotta share this:
I have walked out of one concert in my entire life (been to hundreds of shows), and it was Bad Company. Kansas backed them up and were spectacular. Bad Company came out and were awful. This is probably 30 years ago, so I don't recall if it was an off night for them, if the sound system was not up to par, or if it was a combination of both. The bottom line is that there were 4 of us and as a group we decided to leave. This came to mind because of the Bad Co discussion, but I hadn't thought about how it relates to Joe and some of the difficult decisions he's had to make regarding canceling shows. I left that show feeling a bit cheated and probably wouldn't have seen Bad Co. again if I had been given the opportunity.

I am so diggin it! I've posted before that "SEAGULL" is my alltime favorite by Paul Rodgers. That just made my day.

Oh by the way Joe is on a plane tommorrow, he is coming out to Cali. to play for 6000 bikers, Greg Allman is head lining. My buddy is doing security at the show, he has offered to let me hang with him and his band. The wife is real pissed at me now, dont think I can go. You guys got any ideas how to sweet talk her. My buddy tells me this show we be like nothing I have ever been to, he said these people dont sleep, just non stop partying! I dont drink that " coffee" anymore dont think I can hang, I got to get SOME sleep (LOL)

Are you kidding?? I'm a bad influence and this is an example of why I chose to fly solo. (Finally). Having said that, I'm all for peace in existing unions..so..Buy her a day at the spa, promise dinner that night and most of all empty the "Honey Do" list!!! It is all about the give and take. Hi Joe, in regard to your upcoming album, there has been some good press so far. 

Do you have anything else to add that you would like to comment on.  I appreciate what you said in regard to a whole album concept with an A side and B side.  What decided you to take this approach and how do feel about "Sloe Gin" compared to your earlier releases.  And finally what can we do specifically to help promote your new album besides what we have done before, like get a promo copy to our local radio stations, etc...

I don't know about everyone else, but after reading all this stuff about the new album I can't wait for August!!!  Does anyone know if there will be a special pre-hearing type thing like they did for Y&M?  You know, how they sent out a link to one of the songs on the album once a month for 3 months or so before it was released?

+1 on the CAN'T WAIT! 

As far as releasing a song a month ~ although I'm chomping at the bit to hear the new CD, I actually prefer to wait until I have the actual CD in my grubby lil' paws & hear it all the way thru & reading the liner notes, etc...

That's NOT to say they shouldn't release a couple tracks for others to enjoy ~ I just try to ignore them (although I have been known to be weak sometimes & listen to them).

It's definitely one of Ross Halfin's photos. I also noticed that ticketmaster is using that same photo. I think it's probably the best one from that shoot.
