Topic: One Of These Days In Pittsburgh 6-14-07

Joe, very excited to see OOTD in your set . Can't wait for the show in Pgh. This song is perfect for your vocals and guitar work. It was great to see all the messages a few days back from Pittsburgh Jeff, Dean...etc. Should be a large energetic crowd. I've asked a dozen or so to come, still not sure how many are coming. I'm supposed to work the midnight shift that night, but I've had a vacation day in since I first heard about the show.
We are also going to see   Los Lonely Boys  6-10-07  at Pgh Art Fest
Walter Trout        7-20-07      Pgh Blues Fest
                                           Doobie Bros       7-29-07      7 Springs
Allman Bros       8-15-07      Post Gaz Pav
If you get a chance to see Walter Trout, he is very good. I like Joes vocals better, but if you like in your face  blues rock guitar, check him out. He has a very powerful band behind him too. Especially the drummer and his keyboard player, (his secret weapon) Sammy.
Joe hasn't been to Pgh in over a year, March 06 I think. I think we're ready. One Of These Days is here.

Can't wait until November though, becasue it will be Joe November 2nd, Joe November 3rd and possibly Joe November 6th. We'll have to see if I'm still married after that.........LOL! Just kidding dear.......Oh, I can join Shred in the dungeon after that?

Joebeacon, unfortunately I don't have the equipment to tape, wish I did. Is there anything inexpensive out there.I used to use a Sony cassette recorder way back when, and actually have a decent collection on cassette. In fact, I just sent you a private e-mail regarding a trade for the latest Joe show you had. I hope you got it. Jane, you are very observant. You're right, I have been around awhile... I turn 50 on August 6th this year... I first saw Joe in 2000 and was on the original web site years ago. I do check these pages just about every day but don't post that often. Typical excuses, wife, three kids, job, can only type with one finger, blah, blah, blah.
Anyway...hope to see some of you at the shows

Re: One Of These Days In Pittsburgh 6-14-07

got the e-mail  . also if you check out sonic sence website or oade.com or core-sound you can pick up something small and the cost is pretty good ....joe

Hey Bill!
Only 6 more days till Joe hits town. Got a few folks meeting us there. Trying to talk the wife into going, but I doubt it. She can drive me to save on parking.  I know Don will be there and Barbra. Turned my neighbor on to some JB and he hooked. he's been talking about this for weeks now. JB sure is addicting.
Joe Beacon, Thanks so much for the Bloodline show. Just came today and getting ready to crank it up. Thanks again!

Take care everyone. And if I don't meet you no more in this world
Then ill, I'll meet you in the next one and don't be late, don't be late

Hi Pittsburgh Jeff-

I will be there with Melissa and Nico.  I hope you and your friends will come to The Cellar on June 15th in Struthers, Ohio to support Joe on that night.  It is only an hour away from Pittsburgh.  I hope Joe can get some support at the Cellar from Pittsburgh and other towns in Pennsylvania.  I know Don is coming to the Cellar show and hope that Barbara can show up at the show.

Well, I will see everyone in 6 days and keep the faith that we will have great weather in Pittsburgh.

Dean

Re: One Of These Days In Pittsburgh 6-14-07

Joe Bonamassa
7:30pm
Stanwix Triangle Stage
The son of a guitar dealer and player, Bonamassa began playing guitar at age four. By age seven he was deftly playing Stevie Ray Vaughn licks. By ten, he was performing at local venues in upstate New York. And at 12, Bonamassa opened a show for blues legend B.B. King, resulting in an invitation to tour as B.B. King's opening act. While still in his teens, Bonamassa formed Bloodline with musician Berry Oakley Jr. Their self-titled debut was a fusion of boogie, funk and roadhouse blues that produced two chart hits. For his first two solo albums, Bonamassa created a solid fusion of classic blues and pop production that expanded his fan base, but has since returned solidly to his blues roots.

I got this write up in today's Three Rivers Arts Festival

See ya there!!

Re: One Of These Days In Pittsburgh 6-14-07

Hi all, trying to wake up from working 11 to 7 last night. I'm on vacation now until the 25th. Great way to start
it off...a Joe Bonamassa show. Looks like the weather will be good for an outdoor show. We saw Los
Lonely Boys here at the Pgh Art Fest on Sunday, and they were very good. They do a song, Onda, that
they turn into a 20 minute jam. Kind of like something Santana might have done back in the Fillmore
         days.
Hope to see you all at the show tonight. I'll be the salt and pepper haired guy (salt is winning the
battle) and I'll have my black 'always on the road' shirt on. Come up and say hi.

Can't wait till I hear that first note...

                                                                  Bill

Re: One Of These Days In Pittsburgh 6-14-07

Hey Bill,
I'm wearing my Always on the road shirt. Will look for you. I'm bringing my sisters Sony dvd camcorder to try and get some good footage.    Heading downtown at 5:30.  See you there.

Take care everyone. And if I don't meet you no more in this world
Then ill, I'll meet you in the next one and don't be late, don't be late

Re: One Of These Days In Pittsburgh 6-14-07

my buddy just called me to tell me Bonamassa is playing in his hometown tonight for free, Pittsburgh.  So jealous.  Enjoy!
