Topic: Beach jam with my son...

I took my eldest son, who is 11 years old, down to the beach this afternoon as I wanted to get away from a very stressful work week.  We took our acoustic guitars down there to play in the sunshine.

I ended up recording this one take of the two of us jamming one of my wife's favourite ambient pieces called 'Buddha Garden Flowering'.

I did the first intro passage whilst he played the rhythm, then we switched to me playing rhythm while he improvised over the top.  One take.  What fun.

It was a really special 'father and son' moment that will be with me forever!

I'll say.  Stress reduction with muchlove & muchmusic.  Wow.  That's beats hell outa sitting in front of the telly or at the pub drinking yourself to death trying to unwind.  The folks who know me well  are not surprised that I am an ardent, dedicated DAD.   cool

Those who only know me slightly seem stunned when they find out.  tongue  Your wife must be tickled to death.  Tis good.

Hey - thanks for all the kind words everyone!!  I am certainly one proud dad!!

I have another son (8) who has just taken up guitar also, and loves jamming with me.  Can't wait until we 3 can all get up in front of a crowd one day and rock out!!  big_smile

Very nice Devan. Thank you for sharing.

Why don't we eliminate all the warning labels and let things sort themselves out?
