Topic: America's Got Talent

Hey everybody, remember last year when the Bonamasses rallied behind LD Miller when he was on AGT? well I'm asking for some support for a local kid from Benicia named Andrew Beal who blew everybody away last night with his first appearence on AGT. He's a charismatic (to say the least) sax player who I met last year when he became old enough to jam in the clubs in town. I'll edit this post with the AGT website if anybody wants to hear him crank out Pick Up The Pieces by AWB.

I'll be in your town! I got to talk to your buddy. I had that AWB album from 74, just loved it. That was funny as well as entertaining. Can the dude drink yet, he is a young pup.

Hello!

I got a quick story for ya. I'm driving home tonight from my softball game ( had to leave in the 2nd inning, tore a calf muscle bad! ). I'm rockin out to " the Muggs " cool stuff Pittsburgh Jeff sent me. The cell phone rings, I hear this voice being drowned out by background music " SHRED! it's JDAWG I'm at a club in Benicia, I got someone who wants to talk to you". This very young voice comes on the line " VOTE FOR ME! ", he is yelling over the music. I'm yelling back "is this Andrew, the sax man". He is just screaming now " yeah it's Andrew Beal, you want to hear me blow ". He starts in, I mean he must have steam coming outta his ears, just tearing it up! I'm laughing my **** off as JDAWG is on the phone. I'll make this long story short, Andrew has 2  major news affiliates out of Sac town there next week to film him. I'm going down with the boss, it should be fun. Check this kid out, JDAWG says he is just a great dude!

NBC flew Andrew to NYC this morning for an appearance on the Today show Tue., tune in if you get a chance. NBC is investing a lot of time and energy in the kid, who knows, he could be their chosen one.

I saw him last night on AGT.  Oh my gosh.  I don't know what to say.  I loved him.

I guess I should have posted this already. Andrew's website is @ www.andrewbeallive.com  Saw his brief segment on the Today Show along with the 18 yr. old ventriloquist who reminds me of Marcia Brady. Really just a shameless plug by NBC for their show, but great exposure for Andrew.
