Topic: Vintage Guitar Cover

I just heard from my friend in Milwaukee that Joe is on the cover of Vintage Guitar Magazine - has anyone seen it yet?  Jaci

Re: Vintage Guitar Cover

Aaargh!  I have been getting Vintage Guitar for almost two years and just recently decided not to renew.  Guess I won't be getting this issue.

I've never seen this magazine on the newstands.  If anyone knows where to get this issue, please advise.  I'll check Music Dispatch to see if they carry back issues.

This is great.  I had heard this was in the wind before.  My husband's issue didn't come yet.  Will keep you posted.

My local Barnes and Noble has had it in the past.

Re: Vintage Guitar Cover

If Joe is on the cover, I will be making a trip to b & n and picking up a copy for myself. It would look nice with an autograph. smile

It would look nice with an autograph.  These magazines are like 10x14.

Re: Vintage Guitar Cover

He is on the cover (got it last night in the mail).  "Young Gun, Old Guitars".  Most B&Ns that I've been in, do carry VG magazine.  Joe's here in Pittsburgh next Thursday (6/14), I'm hoping to get it autographed.

Re: Vintage Guitar Cover

Stunning cover photo, great article!!!  Great photos of some of Joe's guitars and I love that 1922 Gibson mandocello.  I can't believe I never knew Joe was to be Stevie Ray's warm-up, scheduled for 2 weeks after the fatal helicopter crash.

I just have to stop every important thing I should be doing to take out my old cheer leading outfit, because I FEEEEEEEEEEEL  GOOD and I knew that I would now.  I'm so excited, I just can't hide it!!!

I think most of the fans here feel similiar in that we want others to appreciate Joe's talent just as much as we do!! smile smile smile

Congratulations Joe!!! I just have to say:

Ain't no valley low enough
Ain't no river wide enough

I love watching your rising stardom...it's fantastic!!! smile smile smile smile smile

For those of you looking for frames, the magazine is 10 1/2 X 14 inches.
Congrats Joe!

Re: Vintage Guitar Cover

Just got my copy from a Barnes and Nobles in hot Atlanta!  Great cover and article.  Well worth getting a copy.

Re: Vintage Guitar Cover

Is it the July 2007 cover or August?

The July issue is at B&N right now, and no Joe on the cover...perhaps Michigan is behind Georgia on the first to issue list.

Re: Vintage Guitar Cover

It's the August issue.  It's not in Wisconsin yet either--at least not my city.  If you do find it in Michigan, please advise.  I'll do the same for you if I find it here.  Because it's dated material, most places will only hold it for a day.

Re: Vintage Guitar Cover

Fret - I will have my friend in Milwaukee check if it's in the stores yet - he sent me the one he got in the mail - I don't know where you live in Wisc but most small towns like mine will never carry Vintage Guitar.  Jaci

Re: Vintage Guitar Cover

Hi-

My Barnes & Noble in Boardman, Ohio told me that the magazine should be in their store on June 19th.  This will be a B-day gift for my wife.

Thanks Jaci!  I called B&N in Appleton last week.  They do carry VG, but they only had July at the time, so I should be good--as long as I get when it hits the shelves.  I cannot imagine them carrying an abundance of these magazines.

Sounds like it should be on sale tomorrow!
