What if Joe buried the hatchet with Fender and worked on a signature Tele?  It could even go right back to the beginning and be a Joe B Tele as inspired by Danny Gatton ?!?  A Fender BonaGatton Tele so to speak... big_smile

This is an INTERESTING thought.

People like Jeff Beck go between Gibson and Fender constantly with signature models. I don't know how they do it. I think Mark Knofler did too. Eric Clapton I think also had a Gibson line of Explorers that here cut a certain way.  Kenny Wayne Shepherd's rhythm guitar player had one, back in 2003.

Joe has "F" products in his inventory. Yes they've been used on recent recordings. Joe make nice to F? Fuhgetaboutit! Maybe someday it might happen but I just don't see it happening anytime soon. So to those who want a Goldie, well, y'all best build yourself one as some here have done and done very nicely too!!

Seems way too early to remake Magellan.  He's only had it for such a short amount of time.  I'd rather see it take on some Joe personality before it gets recreated.  Otherwise I agree with Devan, right now a replica would just be another R9.

A Korina Flying V would be interesting, but it's only used on one song.  Signature models are supposed to be a significant identifiable model directly associated with the artist. Joe plays so many guitars, it's hard to call anything beyond the "inspired by Goldtop" (which he did not even play in Grand Rapids) a significant direct association.  At least the BonaByrd is unique.

Gibson 60th Anniversary 1959 Les Paul Reissue, Gibson LP Standard Faded CSB, Gibson Gary Moore LP Standard, Epi Joe Bonamassa GT LP, Epi Zakk Wylde LP, Dean Michael Schenker Flying V, Jackson Randy Rhoads V, ESP/LTD George Lynch Kamikaze, EVH Striped Series R/B/W, Fender/Squire John 5 Telecaster, Fender Joe Strummer Relic Telecaster

I wonder if Joe can have a signature Music Man guitar. Maybe a three single coil guitar?

Re: can joe tell us about the next jb les paul ?????????

I'm going to trick all of you and ask what if its an acoustic?  Bet nobody ever thought about owning a Joe Bonamassa Signature J-45!  I think that people only remember him as a Blues Guitarist that does Electric stuff, but lets not for get such gems as "Woke Up Dreaming" or the DVD version with 2 drummers of "Ball Pin Hammer".   Yes the more I think about it the more I think why come out with another Gibson Les Paul when he already has a Million dollars worth of the best Les Pauls on the planet.  Why not get the best Acoustic guitar Gibson has to offer him.  I'd take a Humming Bird, or a Dove signature Model as well.    wink

Except that Joe is known for playing a relatively everyday 'run of the mill' Yairi acoustic at his live shows...  big_smile

An acoustic would be cool though, or as dalandan suggested, perhaps even a Music Man one?  I know Joe is a fan of Steve Morse and plays an SM sig guitar, but it might be sweeter if he could have his own sig MM guitar that perhaps even Steve will play at a Deep Purple show one day...  lol   cool

Doesn't he endorse a Yamaha or something?

another great thought. Kenny Wayne Shepherd's first signature model was a Blue Martin acoustic guitar. Ugly, and I never saw him play it on stage. Sig guitar nonetheless

My guess is he already has them... but not a signature model that's released to public for our buying. They make Joe custom guitars as Joe wants them. A perfect example was the doubleneck he used to tour with. Baritone/guitar
