Look at the Watford valves site as they do tube and speaker upgrade kits for this amp.

mercury magnetics also has a killer upgrade too.

I'd look at the speaker inside the combo and see how many ohms it is... just make sure it matches if you're going to replace the speaker.

Re: Fender Champion 600 amp.

If you upgrade the Tranny you could keep the speaker that is in this amp and set it up so you can plug a 1/4th jack to it to the speaker.  After that you could unplug the speaker and plug any speaker into the amp like a Head.  Back to the Tranny Mercury Magnetics is nice but they will charge you out the butt for a Magnet thats really only worth $50.  Should be an easy upgrade with no soldering required.  But you should be able to use any Ohms speaker with it after that.  Fender Made in Mexico amps stick with 8 Ohms ususally where Made in America amps tend to be 4 Ohms.  4 ohms will give you maximum power to the speaker and should drive it harder, 8 ohms is optimum power and can be the most efficent power to drive the speaker.  Really the question should be how much power for a speaker should I get?  When you switch to a 12 inch speaker it is going to totally revoice the amp and the amp will struggle to overdrive when cranked if you get too powerful of a speaker.  May I ask why a 12 inch speaker?

Hi Thanks for the Tips!,the reason i would like to use 12 inch is cause i have a extension cab with speaker of 12inches. But i will stick to your comments i will just buy a Jensen mod 4 ohms 6 inch speaker, Thanks!!

Re: Fender Champion 600 amp.

As long as your not trying to drive a 75 watt speaker with a 4 watt amp you'll be fine with the 12 inch speaker, but even if you do use the amp with a high wattage speaker you should still get a little dirt wide open.
