I, personally, enjoyed their first. Especially after I caught some vids by the band members explaining how the songs came about and what they mean. Looking forward to the next.
Why don't we eliminate all the warning labels and let things sort themselves out?

Ok. Bad one I know getting a little punchy here not enough sleep and to much stress.But anyway I was slightly disappointed hearing the first cd.I guess my expectations were high.I liked the cd but not much love ,I think with the talent they have they should put out something that would be as good as BCC.Maybe not as good but closer to.Hope new cd kicks it .Not enough really great rock cds comming out these days.Thank God for BCC !

See here now! We've had this discussion before about my not caring for BCC 1, but I dig 2 . In my opinion, and again just my personal taste, I like Chickenfoot's first CD just as much. I love driving and cranking it up! Just a few weeks ago I told of driving to Tahoe listening to BCC2 (FAST!!), but finished up with Chickenfoot. They're both great, but different. Again, just my taste.

I liked their debut and bought it, probably buy this new one as well.
This is a band to see live, and i missed out the first time round, maybe next time!

I'm actually a little more excited about the supposedly finished Van Halen album....Hope it's more like their first or Fair Warning and not lame like Diver Down....I guess we'll see

Me too murfdog, but don't expect too much, that way we won't be too disappointed if it doesn't come up to expectations. If there are 2/3 highlights, it will be enough for me.

A pretty good album, but not quite as good as their first album. "Something Gone Wrong" and "Different Devil" though are two very strong songs. SGW reminds me a little of our host guitarist - a good rockin' blues number.

Personally, I like "Come Closer" and the story behind that song the best on Chickenfoot III so far.
As far as the BCC comparisons (comparison?) ... it's all a matter of taste. I'm a big Sammy fan so most of his projects I enjoy.
I'm not a big Glenn Hughes fan -- the screaming is too over the top for me. I love some of the BCC songs, and I'll support it because of Joe's involvement, but when viewing it with no emotional ties I tend to like the Chickenfoot stuff better.
So far I still like the debut Chickenfoot CD better than III, but I've only had it a few hours.
There's plenty of room for everyone's preferences.

Great Cd......Once again Joe Satriani's playing is great.....turn it up to 11!!!!! Hope I can see them live this year too...
