This new CD looks exciting and I really like how the title speaks for itself..."Walter’s focus with “Full Circle” was to break down artificial barriers between the music of “blues purists” and “blues rockers”.
“Full circle” is about Walter’s desire to explore the many aspects of the Blues and show that there are no boundaries between musicians that respect each other."
I am a huge fan of Walter and his music and I've been looking forward to this CD since I first heard about it back in March. Some more details and a track listing can be found here:

What really sounds cool to me is that the recording was done in a raw and spontaneous fashion. I think our man Joe really shines in that environment. I am hoping for a sound and feel similar to Blues Deluxe.
I've been listening to Walter's "Relentless" a lot lately. To me, that record is the blues equivalent of Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band's classic 1976 "Live Bullet" album. Relentless has that same driving, straight forward, honest and uncompromising style. I'm very much looking forward to hearing Joe and Walter playing together!
I am trembling with excitement.... Some of my absolute favorites all together on one CD. Joe B., Walter Trout, Jeff Healey, Eric Sardinas (!!!). June 20th can't come fast enough!
Not sure why, but I just can't get into Walter Trout. I bought Relentless and it just doesn't do it for me.
We saw Walter Trout here in Holland last night with the 'Full Circle' release party. And it was Great!!!!!
Three new songs in the setlist:She Takes More Than she Gives ( J. Mayall ), Workin' Overtime ( J. Healey ) and Who's Listenin' In ( Coco )
Many bluesfriends are playing with Walter on this cd.
Lovely giutar work from Walter and Joe on the song'Clouds On The Horizon' .
(Some nice words From Walter to Joe: We are both having a ball on this cut. Joe was born to play the guitar.
He is destined for big things!!! Thanks, Joe-you are the real deal ! )
I first heard of Walter Trout on Joe's forum, although my hubby had 3 of his CD's I never knew about. I like Walter alot!
With last weekend being Memorial Day I watched "Saving Private Ryan" from beginning to end, for the first time, and dug out my Walter Trout CD "Go The Distance" and played it several times. This album was recorded and mixed on September 19th, 2001 and a portion of the profits from the sale of the cd are donated to a cause Walter mentions on the CD. "Go The Distance" is a dedication to all Americans...united in a common cause after the challenges of September 11th. This album is excellent and Walter's guitar playing, vocals and lyrics are primo and very moving. If you don't own it, you may want to check it out.
This topic deserves a bump.
So I was listening to the local blues guru, Bob Ancheta here in Portland Sunday night.
A song come on that really jammed. The licks were hauntingly familiar sounding, but the vocals were more raw with emotion. I tried and tried to place who the hell it was, and it was a cut off of the new Trout album with our man Joe on guitar! I think it was "Clouds on the horizon".
I have been priveledged to see the Troutman twice here in Portland, and was blown away both times. Amazing cat to watch.
I think I need to get this new album. He is playing with some of the greats.

Saw the Trout about a year before I saw Joe for the first time. Although I was impressed I didn't have the same reaction as I did with Joe. I bought his Go the Distance and the double live album. I hardly ever listen to them even though I liked them initially. I spoke to Walter after the show and he was gracious and cordial. I wish him all the luck with the new one and will check it out. Of course the first track I'm listening to is the one with Joe B.
That track sounds good!
Someone grabbed this CD out from under me from the review pile over at Blogcritics. I told them they should share, but word is, they like it so much, they won't.
Amazon just sent me an e-mail as a friendly suggestion, nice marketing. Anyone get the CD yet?

Joe's singing also at least in parts
wow...I'm listening to it right now...very tasteful...JB, John Mayall, Jeff healey, Coco Montoya, Eric Sardinas...if Warren Haynes was on there, It would be perfect!!!
I picked it up on Tuesday and it is first rate. I've only listened to it twice, but I can tell it is going to be on high rotation in my iPod. The song with Joe is outstanding. Listening to Walter and Joe side by side makes me appreciate Joe's smooth voice and great guitar tone even more. He shines on this one too!
