...think in the end Joe used the same guitar he used at the Secret gig?!... zooming in on my camera i think i could see the black mark on the body of the flame top...cant be 100% though!?

Very sad when that happens.
It is the ‘Achilles heal’ of the Gibson though.

So so thin of wood in the 17deg neck bend.

Such beautiful looking and sounding guitars, yet the neck so tender.

Nasty! I'd drop it off with Charlie Chandler @ Guitar Experience...he's mended every rock stars broken Lester. Then keep it in the UK so it doesn't have to fly again....poor thing.

I think I would purchase a seat for Magellan on any flight going forward.  You can't let baggage handlers ever get their hands on it.  F*ckin' ridiculous.

How come Joe's in the UK??

I know that BCC will be performing at High Voltage (hoping to see them live!) and then touring.
If you want to borrow my Les Paul Custom for High Voltage or any of the other UK gigs then you're welcome to, Joe!

Hope 052 is up and running again soon. At least it wasn't in a car accident, like the Green burst with Gary Moore (RIP sad  )

I can only imagine how you must feel Joe it seems to me it was done intentionally to think people who don't know you personally could carry out such acts is beyond me....you have many offers of guitars Joe and im willing to bring JB179 to Dublin with me on the 21 July to be signed and if you wanna use it your very welcome!!!

Yeah - I don't think the pilot had anything to do with the broken guitar.

I am convinced that baggage handlers are quite happy to brake stuff they don't like packing to put folks off flying it - I fly with sports kit such as surf gear, bikes and ski gear and it always comes out scuffed way more than it should.  They once destroyed a snowboard bag in one trip!

On the other hand maybe it would just be easier to leave a gear stash in the UK - I will offer my services if the '59 needs a UK home between giggs.  big_smile
