I prefer Ian on the bill, he is pure entertainment and has a voice to die for. Jumping on the thread sorry but VATA have a gig on the family stage on Sat at 6pm, we arranged it early so we can get to the main stage. We were not going to play but as we are up there with JST, we thought why not. It is a hell of a line up Friday night is going to be scorching to say the least
Yes it's a great line up and easily the best UK festival line up this year
For starters you've got Johnny Lang's first UK appearance in 11-12 years.
The debut performances in the UK of Henrik Freischlader, Trampled Under Foot and Dana Fuchs - each of which are excellent bands.
Then add in Joe Lewis Walker, Philip Sayce, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Ian Siegal, Sandi Thom and Hokie Joint.
And around the stages, Virgil, Gerry Jablonski, Ben Poole, Marcus Bonfanti, Cherry Lee Mewis, Jon Amor etc etc.
And for once no aged artists from the 60's blues boom!

Wow, that's a heavy line-up.
Yepper. That festival looks to be THE event of the summer in the UK. I also like that it's a younger lineup. I'll look forward to the reviews.
A stunning lineup, indeed! I so wish that I could make this, but alas there's no way....
People who have never seen Freischlader or Dana are in for some eye-opening and jaw dropping!
Great line-up indeed. I wanted to go, made plans already but can't go. Had to change plans because of a wedding. Not my own!!!
Sorry you're not coming over Andre, I was looking forward to seeing you.
The latest news is that Hokie Joint have had to pull out of the festival, and have been replaced on the main stage by Simon McBride.
Wow, Joe and Sandi very close together in appearances that day....
Rock ON & Keep the Faith,
Rocket
I had made plans to travel down for the Saturday after BCC in Glasgow tomorrow but can't manage now..................not enough time left to prepare for month long trip to Spain early next week. So no gigs for at least 4 weeks

Sandi's on in the afternoon, so maybe Joe will drop by to watch her on his way down from Glasgow???
I'll follow his bus down,if he turns off at Kingstown roundabout,he's going!
Unless Joe has supersonic transport it ain't gonna happen.
Sandi's on at 5pm - it's a good two and a half hours by road and BCC will be busy with soundcheck until at least 4pm. Then he has to get back........
Who set this hare running??
I'll let you know if he shows - settng off for maryport in an hour or so
Ian
More likely that Sandi will go to Manchester after her gig.........................
I spoke to Sandi last saturday and she said she is hoping to make it to BCC, Hokie Joint have pulled because JoJo's gf is about to give birth and after the scare last week when having to leave Abertillery Festival he didnt want to risk anything like that happening again, it was a band decision in which all parties were understanding about.
I'd like all of you who are attending and who know me to deliver hugs to Joanne and Dana, and be sure to tell Dana that you're friends of mine!
Y'all have a great weekend!
Currently stuck in traffic jam with Joanne. Looking at 6 hour journey, thoroughly pissed off. Looking forward to the festival though.
