Topic: Pork loin vs. Voodoo lab Sparkel Drive

Just wondering if anyone has compared the two?  They both are tube screamer type pedals with a clean blend.  I have the sparkle drive and was wondering if it would do or should I dish out the cash for the pork lion for Joe's Pork lion sound?

ps. 

I love using the sparkle drive before my main gain.  It ads pick attack  and definition to the note.  But as the name suggest it is a  bit sparkley.  I originally got it for my country band gigs to give a clean tone a little hair and squish.  But got the Idea from Joe to put it in front and liked the out come.  I'm just wondering will the pork loin be a big improvement or just a tinny difference?

I have one of each, use them to achieve different things. I wouldn't make it an either/or unless money is tight. They're both excellent pedals...

The pork loin is NOT a tube screamer clone tonally. It has a flatter EQ. The VLSD has a blend knob which adds the clean signal to the mid-humped TS signal (sort of like what a Klon does).

The pork loin will give you a better flat boost (bass and treble boost rather than mid boost).

You can have both on your board for different flavors.
