Topic: Les Paul A/B

I don't know if any of you guys have seen the Guitarist Magazine A/Bing of all 3 JB LP's (Custom Shop, Studio and Epi) but it is very interesting and definitely worth a look!

Anyways upon a couple of watches I personally think that the Studio sounds the best! The Custom Shop sounds ever so slightly muddier and the Epi ever so slightly thinner.. although it is all personal preference.

What do you guys think sounds the best??

I did see that and I'm thinking that they all pretty much sound the same.  At least on my cheap computer speakers over a wi-fi network on highly compressed video. smile

I'm finding it difficult to describe any reasonable differences in sound between the guitars.

Just my .02.

Re: Les Paul A/B

Differences are slight between the two Gibbies but the Epi definitely had its own thing going on.

Re: Les Paul A/B

I love the sound of all three and Joe make them sound fantastic.
1. custom shop.
2. bonastudio.
3. Epip LP.

They all have the bonasound i would be proud to play any one at any time.

Differences I see (not hear) are this:

1. Cost of labor/extent of labor (US vs. Korean... reliced or not, etc.)
2. Cost of materials/materials used (no binding vs. binding, etc.)

I prefer cosmetically superior and built products, but they do all sound strikingly similar.

Ask me about my handwound Great Lakes Guitar Pickups
Since 2010, Bonamassa fans have taken advantage of my JB friend discount = my cost + shipping. cool
