Topic: THE CREW ROCKS !!!

I just want to give a shout out to Joe's crew, who without the show would never go on. Donnie, Dave, & Aaron set it up & break it down night after night, town after town, state to state, and country to country. It's got to get old sometimes, but every time I catch up with them they make time to chat and with a smile on their faces. Dave, Joe's tech, never stops movin' during the show. The other night in SLO he was doin' his thing, tuning each guitar and passing them off to Joe when one of Joe's amp heads eats a fuse and the dude goes into high gear diggin' in his bag of tricks for the right size fuse and changin' it out in the middle of a tune and has the guitar ready for the next song. Donnie squeezes the best sound he can out of what they find at each new destination and it always seems to work. Aaron makes it all work for Bogie and handles the merchandise too. Thanks for the effort guys!!! You help put the rock in Bonamassa Bluesrock!!!

That's a great point Dawg! We sat in front of Joe's guitar rack (and I mean RACK) in Annapolis and I enjoyed watching Dave. The guitar's flowed. He seemed to enjoy himself. He gave me his set list which was cool because it had what guitar was used on each song. I've not "seen" the other team members, but you're right, they play a very important role in the bands ability to give such stellar shows...So Bravo to all!!!.........             Cathy

When he came to Tulsa last July, me and my buddy actually helped the road crew load stuff up. All I can say is, they do a lot of work, and bless them for it.

Yeah I remember when the band did use to do most of the work, loading their van and trailer.  Joe has a good crew and they deserve some accolades for sure...

Cathy, do you remember when Joe had two Vaults of guitars???? My first experience with the band was looking at about 20 plus beautiful axes at one time in two rolling vaults and Joe tellin' me a few details about some of them.

My first experience, Joe had his guitars on stands to his right and he would go over and pick up the next guitar and strap it on himself. The crew (1 person)was out in the crowd passing out sampler CD's.

Seems like a long time ago...

Hey all,

I just wanted to say thanks for this post and all the replies. Working for Joe has honestly been the best job I have ever had. I enjoy the travelling, I love meeting new people, and getting to go to Europe 4 times in the last year completely kicks butt! cool

It's no big secret, but I don't like blues yikes(hold all the boos and hisses please). I do listen to all kinds of music, but never blues. I have to say though, watching a Joe Bonamassa show is nothing short of amazing. His style of blues is definitely the goods (See, it all works out in the end):D.
